I don’t remember what the clip was called but I did a google search for cgi yoda episode 5 and the first few pages of google only talk about the new cg yoda in episode 1. Also, why was CG Yoda in the OT cancelled?
Er… well… I don’t think there was ever a plan to replace the Yoda in the OT with CGI. Not one that I ever heard, at least.

There was a bonus feature on the Episode II DVD that had test footage they made to show they could match the movements of the puppet for the purposes of the prequels. But no one ever planned to replace the puppet in the OT.

Well, I don’t know what that special feature is called so I can’t find the footage that way either.

Wasn’t there a story Lucas wanted to do it for the Blu and someone talked him out of it? Or was that just a made up rumor?
I definitely don’t doubt that. I think however it’s more likely that he reviewed the scenes that would have to be redone and thought “Eh, too much effort”

Someone oughta clip the scene and upload that seperately. I skimmed the timeline but didn’t see the scene anywhere.
At 2:45 there’s some extremely rough test footage applied to some Empire scenes, but nothing finished. I don’t know how far they went into testing CGI Yoda via matching the puppet’s movement; perhaps that’s what you’re looking for?

It was pretty completed. But a short clip. That’s what I recall anyway.
The clip bkev mentioned is definitely the only footage. If you remember anything else, it’s your mind playing tricks on you.
