Considering how old Hamill, Harrison and Fisher are I doubt their kids will actually be kids at this point. =P

Exactly in defense of my Marc Blucas suggestion here is what Harrison's real offspring looks like.

So Han and Leia waited 20 years to screw and have kids?

I know it's the only way the story can go, it's just too late, that's all. Han will be dead before those kids reach puberty.

There's no birth control in Star Wars?

Strong family resemblance there! Is he an actor?

I seriously doubt they would have waited that long. In a universe with 200 year old Wookiees and 900 year old Jedi masters, the age of our human heroes really isn't that much in context. It's long been a convention of SF that any technologically advanced society has solved many of the problems of aging.

Hmm, didn't expect people to take that comment so seriously/literally.

Just a small observation on how the actors/characters are going to be pretty old, unless the 'kids' are in their late teens or early 20s.

Guess I was addressing all the senior citizen jokes I've been seeing elsewhere. ;)

If any of their kids have the acting chops, they ought to be given an audition if they're willing to step into the craziness being in a Star Wars film entails.

Nah, the actors should be chosen based on how they look standing next to one another. ;)

Well anyways, I hope they have some completely new adventures not related to their parents. And I really hope they're 20-30 and not some teens. I wish there would be some new hot feisty brunette in there though. :) Could be fresh to have a female lead, even.

This also opens up the possibility that we'll see Chewie's son in the movies. ;)

He is a chef and Willard is an interior designer.

I'm rooting for Kenny Baker to return in his 'tin can' role too.  Hell, he's only 78 after all.

I said to George that I wanted to go back to the way it was, in the sense that ours was much more carefree and lighthearted and humorous – in my opinion, anyway....hope they find the right balance of CGI with practical effects. I love props, I love models, miniatures, matte paintings -- I'm sort of old school. I think if you go too far in the direction of CGI it winds up looking like just a giant a video game, and that's unfortunate. … If they listen to me at all, it'll be, 'Lighten up and go retro with the way it looks.'

It's good to know that he thinks like we do.

Indeed. I hope he'll have some power with the movies, he's f'ing Luke Skywalker. "Do it like this or you don't get Luke."

With all the CGI shots of Artoo, how much was Baker actually in Episode III?

With all the problems they still had with the R/C Artoo going amok, you'd think they could rig up one Kenny could "drive" with a LCD monitor in there.

Mark is probably key to all of all this. Disney wants to get us old fogeys into the theaters. ;)

Not necessarily if any of the ot actors refuse to be in it they can write it into the story that their character died.  Like they did with Sean Connery in Crystal Skull.

To me the worst thing that can happen is Hamill says no.  Its not like its going to do anything to hurt his career at this point to be in it, but it won't further it either.  Unless they offer him a large sum of money i don't see him doing it.

I hate the idea of a younger cast coming in with the oot actors basically being wallpaper.  I want further adventures of Luke Skywalker. But are we not basically facing the same ludicrousness of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in Crystal Skull at 60+ years old with Mark being as old as he now is.

If Mark is going to be the Obi Wan of the new trilogy, it's not the Old Indy scenario at all.

I love how honestly true this is. Disney seriously seems to be doing anything and everything they can do to please the fans. At least, I'm pleased with every development that's been made.
