She was in her early 70’s when the special was made. She was pretty spry for her age though. Maybe she really was a witch? 😉

Let’s weigh her.

If you want a further example of 70’s zaniness, check out the Paul Lynde Halloween Special. It’s on Youtube, features Margaret Hamilton reprising a certain Witch from Oz, and also was the tv debut of a some clean cut musicians who call themselves KISS.

Power up those shields, Princess.

Leather was hotter though, even if she looked anachronistic on the show. Maybe she arrived on the time machine from the animated Happy Days? 😉

Remember how I said I would want Tarantino-style Star Wars?

Well…

It’s quite a bit Like Adam and Joe’s Star Wars bits from the 90s…

Nice that Joe gave John Boyega his first film starring role. I’d be up for a Joe Cornish directed Star Wars movie. He could tell the story of how Ben was a washed up wino on Tatooine for 20 years… which would explain why he looked like he’d aged 40 years.

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Perhaps the worst aspect of the Holiday Special is that props from Star Wars (1977) were mutilated for the production of Holiday Special.

If Plagueis shows up in the ST, not only will I refuse to watch the movies, but I won't so much as watch the trailers, either. - DuracellEnergizer

In what way? I thought only the costumes left over from the movie were used.

I know only the lightsaber, but that wasn’t even mutilated, it was a brand new ugly one that doesn’t even show much.

Fascinating. I didn’t know about this.

Of course, who would have really been able to tell back in 1978, or from the fuzzy bootlegs we had all the years after?

‘Star Wars Kinect’ has got to be pretty high up on the list for that Han Solo dancing game…

f

As it was the last full game published by Lucasarts before the Disney acquisition just a few months later, the suspicion has to be that GL’s thinking behind the project was “I give zero f**ks about how far this franchise is scraping the barrel right now”.

Seconded. Just… why?

Ol’ George has the GOUT, I see.
