Yeah, there's a lot of crap coming out these days. But there's also some really cool stuff if you're into toy collecting. I just buy the stuff I like & don't worry about the rest. The new Millennium Falcon from a few years ago is possibly the coolest Star Wars toy ever made. And while this Yoda sucks, they have made some really amazing OT figures in resent years. Here's a few really great ones either out currently or coming soon:
Yeah, there are some vastly improved sculpts, but I am selling off all my modern toys and just keeping Vader and Fett items, as well as the new AT-AT and the badass new Falcon.
I got my AT-AT 2 weeks ago and havent opened the box yet!

It seems Yoda has been removed from the assortment. Maybe they actually listened? Who knows.

Not yet, but there are many reports of people receiving it. Many, MANY were destroyed in the mail and that's the biggest controversy going on right now. It seems that HasBLO is taking responsibility and sending out replacements. So, I am expecting the worst, but hoping for the best.
Oh great. I never heard that. I'm still waiting for mine. I live in Canada, and for whatever reason it always takes forever!
I still can't believe that Hasbro is doing all this vintage packaging. Have been tempted to grab a few, but at $8 a pop and the thought that part of that will go back to the machine has made me hold off. Not to mention that the figures themselves are so detailed that you can't really play with them. God, I miss the POTF2 days!!

The POTF2 days were plagued by awful, overly muscular figures for the most part. Good riddance.
I agree the original POTF figures were great - a nice balance of playability and detail.

Indeed. POTF2 crap is still just that. Crap. That line was so oversaturated that most of it can't even be given away still. Worthless junk.
I just picked up the Target exclusive "Attack on Hoth" set. The Hoth AT-ST compliments the AT-AT very nicely!

Do you live in an area that doesn't have Hasbro's AT-AT and/or AT-ST available?
No, I just live in a house where I already have way too much of this stuff. I got the big big Falcon last year, and think I probably pushed my luck.
I have an original AT-AT I already that I don't have a good place for... so I don't know what I'd do with an even bigger AT-AT and an AT-ST... but that doesn't stop me from being jealous.

Physically, yes it is. It has Hoth deco though instead of the dirt on the overpriced Walmart release from last year. The new one also has some minor tweaks to the neck assembly to make it more stable. Of course it would have been nice to have a more screen accurate Hoth version with the different head at least, but it's a toy and Hasbro wouldn't spend the money on something like that. The vintage one, while grossly inaccurate, does look more like the Hoth one in the film, obviously because the toy was based on the first appearance of the "Scout Walker" in TESB.
My first batch of Rocket-Firing Boba Fett figures arrived today. The first attempt was stolen somewhere in the postal system, and Hasbro promptly sent replacements. Here's some comparison shots:
