I was in the toy aisle at Target yesterday and saw some cool new toys:
Galactic Heroes - AT-AT

My oldest son is growing out of this line of figures and my youngest son has yet to grow into it… but dang if this thing isn’t cute.
There’s a new 3.5" scale AT-AT too, but at $100 I’m not even going to dream about that one. Plus, I have a vintage AT-AT, so I think I will be able to sleep at night.
FX Boba Fett helmet

This is pretty cool. I’ll have to keep an eye on the bargain section to see if it comes down.

those chopsticks are awesome
I heard they are coming out with new Force FX lightsabers with removable blades. If you try to turn it on without the blade it makes a fizzle sound :)

That new AT-AT is so cool. I'd love to get it, but have no idea where I could fit it in my collection display room. Of course, I said that about the awesome new Millennium Falcon from a couple years ago & my wife still surprised me with it for my birthday last year! (Un)surprisingly enough, I was miraculously able to find a place for it...
Also, the new basic action figures on the vintage repro cards are awesome. They've really upped the ante on the detail & paint aps. I've got Dengar, Hoth Leia, & Boba Fett & they are easily some of the best figures Hasbro has made. I did do a little custom work on Boba though. His cape was a little long so I trimmed that & then he has a removable helmet with a clone face underneath. The nose & face make the helmet fit a little funky (& I hate the "official" Fett origin anyway) so I shaved the face off & now the helmet fits perfect & looks great.
I also think the new mail away figure is so awesome. I haven't sent off for it yet, but it's a repro of the vintage 80's Boba Fett figure, only this time it really DOES come with a firing rocket pack!
Here's some pics of my fett after my tweaks. I didn't take any before pics, but maybe I can find some from someone else...
And here's a pic from rebelscum where you can sorta see the "nose bump" in the helmet. It was much more obvious in person. (this pic is actually a previous release, but it's the same figure and the current version suffers the same nose bump in the helmet)
Oh, did anyone else see the huge Hoth diorama at the Hasbro booth from Comic Con? Here's an album of it, it looks so awesome! Too bad I didn't have this as a kid...
YOU SHAVED OFF HIS FACE!!!!
Actuallys, that's kind of awesome.

I'm definitely going to get one myself!!
Amazon says it's "The largest action figure AT-AT ever made. "
Does that make it larger than my 1980's classic? Or just the same size as...?
I'm afraid I need to know.

This is larger than the vintage AT AT from the 80s
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
The new one is significantly larger, better proportioned, & with way more awesome features. (all pics borrowed from the rebelscum forums, sadly I don't have on yet...)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

The new AT-AT is fantastic and proudly displayed on one of my shelves. I don't like the clone on the package, or the clone phrases, but overall a great piece.
If anyone would like pics, let me know.
Wait! There are CLONE phrases for the new AT-AT???
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
Whoops. Double post for some reason. Reply is below.
Yep. Another attempt by HasBLO to integrate clone wars crap.
Clone phrases:
Darth Vader phrases:
General Veers phrases:
Imperial Officer phrases:
And let's not forget the craptastic EU speeder bike that comes out of the AT-AT's rear.
It's still a fun, imposing toy. I just wish it was more TESBish. :)
Lame Hasbro is lame.
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
The whole merchandising machine has become lame. I'm almost done selling all of my "modern era" toys and collectibles because it just makes me sick.

HasBLO just keeps on loading EU and PT crap into OT toys. The upcoming Yoda from the Vintage Collection on a ROTJ card has....
....A Lightsaber. Lame.
Boo.

Got my AT-AT in on Friday, proudly displayed upon my top shelf in my home-office. Love it! Still kind of wanting a vintage one though. My wife said that the new AT-AT is HUGE! lol!!
*jealous!*

I just recently bought the new 3.37" boba fett from the new VESB wave, and the K-mart exclusive jodo Kast. They're the first SW figs Ive bought in like 3 years, because I was sick of all the rereleases of figures. I love OOT figs! Anybody find any foil-carded chase figs?
