I haven’t done much collecting in a long time, but I think this stuff is a tad overpriced. 😉
Where were you in '77?

LOL! That listing is absurd.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

I have to ask, who actually pays these prices? I can only think of 2 possibilities: truly desperate people; or investors who think it will be worth even more in the future and this is just an investment.
Somebody explain this madness to me!!!!
@The Shade: Just because the auctions have ended, it doesn't mean they were sold, right?
The internet is full of weirdos.
One of these discs is not like the others. ;)

Typo, or serious asking price?

Looks more like Aquaman's old nemesis Black Manta than anything out of Star Wars.

OMG it's so bad it has to be really alien.
Well, it may be expensive, but to be fair it is in "VERY GOOD CONDITION" and don't forget the free shipping.
Another item of overestimated value?

I can sort of understand some people confusing LD and CED's, but this takes the cake!

I shared that one with my wife last night. It was hilarious and sad at the same time.

Also, from the listing: "Remember the short lived format laserdisc?"
Right... 1978-2002 is "short lived".

Wow, cool!
Thanks for the correction. I'll edit my post.

"A original 1969 Ruskin raider"!
Maybe his dog wrote it.
All I get is an error on that link.
Lucas was going to have Tusken Raiders in his student version of THX, but didn't have the funds to realize them on screen? ;)
Where were you in '77?
Hmm. I shortened the link text, but used the full address in the link itself. Fixed now but not sure why that happened.
Ok, it works now. :)

I want a Ruxin Raider.
How about a Teddy Ruxpin Raider?
Not Star Wars but still batsh*t:
That was the first LD release back in the day. (Never came out on disc in the U.S.) Not sure why it should still command such a high price now.
Now, this isn't crazy, but I find this kind of auction creepy.
This is someone's memories being sold off. The more I stare at that photo, the more questions I have. Are any of these people still alive? Did they buy their clothes at Sears? Are they still Star Wars fans? Is that a ghost in the window? Is that a glass of beer on top of the tv?
Where were you in '77?
^That's both sweet and sad.
