A YouTube video explains the mono and stereo tracks used different audio for some of the original trilogy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaeTOMvf67c . The video is pro Special Edition. I am glad the Despecialized editions of the original Star Wars trilogy exists. The mono and stereo tracks are included.

It is that awful 4 hour “How to Watch Star Wars, Part Two: The Special Editions Are the Movies, Get Over It” video from Rick Worley.

There is already a discussion about it in here, posted by a troll, back in February:

How to Watch Star Wars, Part Two: The Special Editions Are the Movies, Get Over It

Surely there are better videos, articles, or threads for the different audio used in the Original Trilogy before the Special Editions? In here, maybe?:

An Index of OT•com threads on all things the Audio of the Original Trilogy

The OOT : The changes to the OT films & general OOT (1977 - 1996) discussion thread

An Index & Help Thread for Theatrical Cuts vs. Subsequent Releases

and probably in many of the discussion threads on here?

“In the future it will become even easier for old negatives to become lost and be “replaced” by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten.” - George Lucas

Why don’t people put the titles of videos when linking to them? Or who they are by? Or how long they are if a lengthy video?

4 hours for any video is a long time. Especially one from Rick Worley.

Shouldn’t this be in “Theatrical Cuts vs. Subsequent Releases”? Or deleted as there is already a thread on it?

“Don’t tell anyone… but when ‘Star Wars’ first came out, I didn’t know where it was going either. The trick is to pretend you’ve planned the whole thing out in advance. Throw in some father issues and references to other stories - let’s call them homages - and you’ve got a series.” - George Lucas

I don’t like Worley’s videos. He doesn’t want the original to be available. His prequel video about how they reference other films visually is even more insipid. I thought he would make some good points to disprove Red Letter media but he didn’t. Even the troll titles tell you to not watch them.
