Did the Sith have like, any hobbies at all?

I mean, when I think about it, Darth Sidious/Vader must have had something more interesting to do with their time than moping about and doing evil stuff. Did they even do anything? Space graffiti, space volunteering, space Tinder?

I know Kylo is big into family genealogy, probably metal detecting for…stuff…and he has quite an active twitter account.

As for real Sith, I imagine them to be big into Bob Ross paintings or puppy sitting, something to preserve that work/life balance.

Anakin was a talented mechanic. Vader may tinker with his Tie Advanced in his spare time? Probably not though.

They pass the time polishing their lightsabers.

Maul: Athletics, playing a bunch of droids in a capture the flag game or something.

Dooku: Painting / sculpting / orchestra. I see him as the sort to patron the arts.

Palpatine: Dark side artifact collection, largely to gain power. The type to never stop working.

Vader: We see him in some sort of tube without the suit. He might hate the suit and prefer to be in the bacta, just chilling. Maybe he goes on the Star Wars internet equivalent.

Snoke: Wonder about his backstory.

Kylo: The exact kind of person you’d expect to excessively tweet.

I can totally see Dooku attending the opera on Coruscant. He probably would dig the brother/sister incest scene in Wagner’s Ring Cycle. 😉

I see them playing a card game called ‘absolutes’…

Well played, sir.

I find that answer vague and unconvincing. Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? And say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Have you any other thoughts on hobbies for the Sith, Sohail Mccarthy?

That’d really get his lightsaber polishing going.

He’s not a Sith, but Kylo did have a calligraphy set in his hut at Luke’s training school… of course he might have given this hobby up in his turn to the dark side.

Otherwise, in terms of what the films actually show us, we know Palpatine is an opera man, and Darth Vader likes to take his clothes off.

Palpatine loved writing comments in Sith and Jedi books and signing it with a cool S, in Legends. The succession of owners of the Jedi book is hilarious.

Only Grievous had hobbies, like collecting lightsabers. I presume the Sith were kinda jealous he had this idea first, so they just kept on doing nothing of their free time. Except Palpatine, an Opera enthusiast.
