Did anyone catch the Kids Choice Awards?

Hayden, Darth, R2, 3PO and Chewie presented some award - it was real quick.

The overproduced teeny-bopper nonsense that these awards have become? Heck no. I watch BttF2 and 3 instead.

I was watching at first to see what was winning, but when Spongebob beat out FoP for best cartoon, and then "Little Romeo" won best TV actor... I turned it off.

Let me guess, only Nick cartoons can be nominated for this so-called kids "choice" awards?

Nope. Simpsons and Ed Ed and Eddy were also on there.

Why Yugioh, Pokemon, Rugrats, Danny Phantom, Avatar, Dragonball/Z/GT/ Justice League/ Teen Titans weren't, I have no idea. All of those cartoons are either more popular, better, or both, than Spongebob.

Heh. Nope. Still a minor.

I just don't understand why Spongebob is so popular. I mean don't get me wrong, it isn't a bad cartoon... It's just sort of 'meh'...

Anyone interested in how bad this show was... Click here.

I think the "favorite movie actress" category winner says it all.

And the fav game winner.

Yeah. I physically cringed when I saw that.

I was under the impression that the Shrek 2 game sucked. ..

Shrek 2... Hm.. I guess not 'sucked' but it still should not be winning any favorite game awards.

What about The Minish Cap

or Astroy Boy. Both are better and cheaper! So you'd think they'd be more likely to be bought by parents.

Its just like the Academy Awards, someone always has their hands in someone elses money pocket.

I never watch any of those things.

Sometimes I'll turn on the Academy Awards, but its rare and I usually don't watch for long. I was happy, though, when I saw Jamie Foxx get his.

You think Dreamworks and Viacom conspired together?

Yes, yes I do.

Still, it is 'favorite game' not 'best game' so I guess maybe more kids played it; after all it was based on a huge blockbuster where as Astroboy wasn't.. and Minish Cap is probably too hard, as I noticed that some of the kids in the audience looked like they were 4...

But there is NO excuse for Hilary Duff getting the movie actress award! Someone should suffer for even nominatiing her! And isn't it a bit hypocrytical to give best Cartoon to spongebob and not give best TV actor to Tom Kenny?

I didn't see it. Did Napoleon Dynamite win anything?
Don't forget: with Lacuna, you can forget.

Nope. I have a linked to the winner announcements in an above post...

The Incredibles took favorite movie, which is fine, I think.

Thankfully, my parents never let me watch it as a child; I would hate to be addicted to that crap.

Does every child have to watch cartoons or reality tv?

My 11 year old brother watches CSI every night for two or three hours(he DVRs them) and maybe turns the tv to CN or Nick once a week or so.

Cartoons I can understand, but Reality TV?

Your brother watches CSI? Weird.

Yeah, but he is really 11, I forgot how old he was when I made that post.

And in reality TV I was including things like American Idol.

The mis-classification of its genre doesn't nullify my point.

I didn't say it did, I just wondered aloud why they call it a reality show.
