Did anybody see Wall-E? — Page 4

It looks like it has some funny parts, but how did you get iron giant out of it?  It looks more like an animated version of "League of Extraordinary Gentleman".  They take all the campy scary movie classics from the 50s-70s and put them all in one movie to battle the giant alien.  The opening sequence of the trailer was a little overdone in my mind.

Other than that, like I said, it looks like it has some funny parts, but everything else looks like it's overdone.  Typical DreamWorks fare as far as I can tell.

this trailer to me, looks like the movie could be interesting..

you never know..(not the graphics, but the plot is like a take off

on 'the iron giant' -> replacing giant robot -> giant alien )

looks more like Monsters Inc. than the Iron Giant. It just looks too goofy and over the top, like everything Dreamworks does...

While monsters versus aliens may not be the best, i probably won't watch it the cgi looks horrible imho.

Can it possibly be as bad as Shrek 4 or 5 without Andrew Adamson?

Whats next Ice Age 4 and 5, LOL.

Iron Giant is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. The modern art deco crossed with the old school anime look as far as i am concerned had fail written all over it.

Keep it American style or Japan style that cheap cgi hybrid shit they do in the usa these days is dumb.

Disneys next movie animation theatrically is the frog princess. At least I think that is what it is called.

The frog sounded like the old WB frog in the trailer, and the frog from the animation one froggy evening cartoon. One word dumb, i'll be suprised if the WB don't sue disney.

Saw the new Clone Wars tv preview still looks like a video game cutscene from a ps2 game.

A PS2 game with cartoonish graphics.

That is effing amazing. When is that going to be available in a consumer application, probably not for a long time and it would probably cost tens of thousands. Your ESB film restoration woud sure be a lot easier if you only had to clean up a few frames from each scene and apply them to the GOUT.

well, thanks to the flop that was wall-e,

they're cranking out the dvd extra early so they

can hopefully get some money off it:

Hey kids... so the big news today is that Disney and Pixar are dropping Wall-E on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on 11/18.

Dude, you're to funny.  Wall-E was released on June 27th.  It's hitting DVD on November 18th.  That doesn't exactly sound rushed to me.  Indy IV was released in May and is getting an October DVD.  Those are both in line with pretty much industry norms for releases.  Movie comes out then 5-7 months later the DVD is released.  That's the way its been for about the last 10 years.

We get that you didn't like it, but having the DVD out in time for the holiday season isn't early or a rush.  It's called smart marketing.

BTW, digitalbits almost always uses the term "the big news today is..." since just about every release is big news.  It would be shocking if it had come out on DVD in July or even August and that would have really been "big news".

Then once it is out, word of mouth will get around, and countless people see it for the first time on DVD will be saying, "I can't believe I missed this one in the theaters!"

The Dvd has Ben Burtt on Wall E sound design as a bonus feature, sound familiar to you 2004 star wars boxset owners out there.  lol.  You know when 90% of the commentary was Ben Burtt.

Well at least he ended up working for a respected and reputable film studio, and had nothing to do with Shit Wars, uh i mean Clone Wars.  That was such shit i don't even believe Matthew Wood did the sound design.
