The branding is a nice idea but I was hoping to get the "imaging" ideas worked out first before we head into other additions if any......

I believe that a few of our masters here are working on a presentation of ideas for the look so we can get a vote on what we like. I personally like the poster art for the OT and thought that those alone would look great with any OT set going into this box....Most of the best cover art I've seen revolves around the poster art. One or two McQuarrie concept pics might look nice if they could be incorporated into the design but I'm leaving the initial presentation up to those who know how to do it best since they have the experience and the obvious popularity by compliments they receive here in the forum.

Keep the idea's coming and lets get something great we can all appreciate and brag about to our friends when they see this on our shelves at home.......

I don't know that there is a "get it done now" time frame as we all have lives outside of here .......yeah, right.....

I would think that a week or two would be sufficient for at least the basic stuff. Paul seems very willing to help out and make this right, and just the way we want it.......

Good things take time and I don't want anyone feeling pressured with this. It is a great idea and I would hate to see it spoiled by demands and "absolute" deadlines.......everyones time is valuable and appreciated.

Alrighty then...

Here is a rough up of the design I did. The image wraps around all three sides of the box. Yes it is modeled after the 1990-ish box set. No I didn't scan it in; this is 100% original pieced together from the posters themselves. The perspective isn't right, but you get the idea.

Here it is:

That's actually very nice. I like how the ANH lightsaber flare carries over into ESB and ROTJ.

I like the bottom part, not so keen on the Star Wars trilogy bit, looks a little off somehow, anyway keep at it!

Not so keen on the ewok, but its better than jar-jar being on the box. I love it. I'd buy one right now.

That design is pretty nice, very much like the old CBS/FOX VHS trilogy release in the early 90s (the one right before the "Faces" release)

So, are we talkin' just a box here, or is it coming with DVDs in it? Either way, I'll be sure to get it... And that design looks really nice, tlbauerle. But, I think it might look a little better if the "Star Wars" was yellow instead of red... Just my opinion though.

That's why the logo is red, but I can change it to yellow just to see.

I'm not fond of the ewok, but he is able to blend into the ANH poster very nicely. I'll do a yellow logo night.

How else doesn't the "Star Wars Trilogy" logo look "off"?

I think its the font used for "Trilogy" , I'm sorry I can't really describe what I mean.
maybe you could center the text?, it looks a too close to the top when there is empty space underneath it
The ewok is cool though, after all he's on the original poster

I agree that the red looks better, but that's hardly a Star War-ish-looking yellow to begin with.

Actually, it looks a lot better than a traditional "star wars yellow." It's just way too bright.

Hey, speaking of "Star Wars Yellow", did anypne else notice how the PT's opening crawl is a MUCH darker yellow than the OT? It's almost orange in a way.
