Seriously.  You get bashed for only liking the original trilogy.  Last I checked it mostly seems like it's the other way around with the people who only like the original trilogy bashing people who like the rest.

It varies from place to place.

If you ask me, I think we have every right to think George Lucas is being an ass for withholding the original trilogy, but beyond that it's all subjective and every one has the right to like what they want without decent from others.

I don't care what people like.  But I resent people who support the suppression of film history, as I would resent people who support burning books.  I see no reason to respect that, because it goes beyond personal preference - it is denying others' access to history.

Now, if someone preferred the prequels and the SE, but also supported restoring the originals on principle, I would respect that person immensely despite our differences in aesthetic preference.

I talk to people who bash me for preferring the OOT and ignoring the Prequels and CGI Clone Wars show from my personal sense of continuity.

You should find new people to talk to.

The thing is, we had no say in the matter when Lucas chose to replace the OOT with the SE, and how he essentially told us we cannot watch the films anymore they way we preferred. The problem, obviously, is that other director's cuts for other movies don't function this way, as you can still see the theatrical cut if you want. Here it is de facto illegal to watch the OOT, and Cracked is siding with the SE.
