Sounds perfectly dreadful doesn't it?

It's strange - on one hand I can see no reason as to why GL would want to relive the Holiday Special in almost the same type of 'badness' that was the Holiday Special.

On the other hand - I wouldn't put it past him to try and have another go

R2 - how on earth did you come across that site?

Christopher Lee in something 20 years before he appeared in AOTC??? Pur-leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase!

Drinking in a Coruscant bar in 1982 when the place wasn't thought of until late 80's early 90's PUR-LEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE!

On the other hand, it's a funny funny read & damned scary! That moustache of Christopher Lee's is just dreadful!

I found this a long time ago when I was researching the Holiday Special. For some reason this thing popped up and I just couldn't help but wonder if it was real or not. God I hope it is! I just love really bad TV and this sounds like a real stinker.

As a side note, one day I tortured my best friend with her first viewing of the Holiday Special and she hasn't spoken to me since. Hmmm...I think I may have seriously damaged our friendship or maybe her emotional stability. I did warn her that I took no responsibility for any physical, emotional or psychological damage. I guess she thought I was kidding.

Of course this is not real. This is a joke. Take the first letter of each paragraph and tell me what it spells.

The Christopher Lee pics are from a 1982 movie called Safari 3000.
Greedo shoots first? Not in my DVD player.

R2 - LMAO.

When I got the MagnoliaFan Edits of Eps 1 & 2 delivered I was excited like a little kid and immediately put Ep1 on - got a big tut and roll of the eyes from my missus, after a few minutes she's engrossed in them and no longer going shopping with her mates - and she put Ep2 on straight after. A few weeks later she's loaned them out to her mates (without telling me!!!) and now keeps asking questions about all things SW and 'how come it was so boring when she saw it at the cinmea?'

Sci-fi - good or bad does have strange effects on women...

Jeez, he even put "Review date: 04/01/2002" under that "review".

Frankly, though, if he hid the date, the bold fonts and replaced Lee with e.g. "the popular Scandinavian soap opera actor Ove Shormasgardabordeaegirmarfarfansson", it might sound believable for while.

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

I read this awhile back, too...I remember switching back and forth from belief to disbelief many times throughout it, and then I realized it was fake when someone mentioned the first letter of each paragraph on some forum. I think I wanted it to be true for some reason...

R2...are you suggesting I don't sit down and watch the Holiday Special with my friends? I'm getting it from Rikter, and am planning on making it a Holiday tradition, but if your best friend isn't talking to you after you put her through it, maybe it should be one tradition I should keep to myself....

It couldn't be true, because Coruscant wasn't named until 1991 by Timothy Zahn in Heir to the Empire.

Galahad, well that is up to you. I wouldn't recomend it. My best friend, when it was over, was reduced to a twitching lump on the sofa with blood running out of her ears. It took me 45 minutes to revive her. I guess she still hasn't forgiven me for it.

If you do decide to have a special viewing with friends, I would tell them that you take no responsibility for any psychological or emotional scarring that may occur do to viewing the special. If they are hard core Star Wars fans, then I'd say you're pretty safe in letting them view it. Most will only want to see it once and believe me, once is enough for even the most ardant fans.
