Wow. Great link. Thanks. I've read Countdown, and was fairly impressed. I liked the Maxwell Lord character when he was introduced in JL International back in the day. Glad to see he's still around.

Yeah, but now he's a traitor to the League...

Anyway. Has anybody read the Titans JLA crossover called "Technis Imperative"?? I reccomend it.

Haven't read it yet. I'm just getting back into collecting for real, so I'm compiling a looooong list of stuff I've got to get. Right now I'm getting caught up on Sandman, which I may let go for a while to get some other stuff, like rebuilding my old Flash collection, or catching up on Straczynski's Spider-Man run or Sin City.

Word is they're going to kill Cyclops in the opening of X-Men 3 by having him "de-atomized" by the Phoenix/Jean Grey. You can actually sign a petition against this by clicking here http://www.petitiononline.com/x3cyke02/petition.html
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Anyone reading the new Green Lantern series? The artwork is nicely done, especially the covers.

**Identity Crisis Spoilers ahead**

This was revealed in Identity Crisis. Basically what happened is, they revealed in a flash-back that Dr. Light had sexually assaulted Sue Dibney, and how they thought he was the prime suspect in her murder. During the flash-back, Oliver revealed to Wally West what happened, how some members of the group, ie: Zatana, Black Canary, Hawkman, and one or two others decided the only way to stop Light from doing it again was to wipe his memory. There was a big fight, as some people were against it. Batman showed up and saw what Zatana was doing, and he went to stop them. So, they wiped him too. He slowly figured it out, and so did Light and the rest of the villans, and that's why they're taking it kind of personally.

When I was younger, 14 yrs ago or so I loved SpiderMan comics, sold them when the first movie came out. Made some nice cash.

Can anyone recommend a truly excellent Star Wars graphic novel (apart from Dark Empire)? A friends of mine is moving to Canada so I want to get him a present to read on the plane. Are the tales of the Jedi any good?

Sorry, I can't help you there Yoda-Father.

So... who thinks they'll ever get around to making a live action GI Joe movie? I know they say never say never, but I'm seriously starting to doubt it.

I doubt it. A movie like that would tend to portray the military in a positive light, which is the last thing Hollywood wants. If they were to be able to make it so there's a whole lot of moral ambiguity, and can paint Cobra almost as being the victims in the situation, then I think they'd make it.

Hm.

I just got finished reading Batman "Hush"

Good story, though the ending was just plain cruel. Not so much surprising in revelation as it was "I can't believe they actually went through with that!"

I'm just getting back into Bats. I find myself a little burned out on him for some reason...probably because I spent the better part of the late 80's reading nothing but him. I find current artwork in most of his books to be sub-par (IMO). Biggest things I'm into right now are Amazing Spidey, Astonishing X-Men, and the new Green Lantern series.

Hm. Well, Hush is a great place to start.

The art is by 'superstar' Jim Lee, and is excellent.

Yes it would. Darn PC hollywood hackjobs.

Though, there are GI Joe movies, just not theatrical. They are CGI, and one of them is called "Valor vs Venom"

Anyone read Ex Machina by Vertigo? I like it, although it seems like it's got a small audience.

I actually saw that - it was okay but the CGI worked better for "Beast Wars: Transformers". They kinda screwed General Hawk.

Yes, definitely get Tales of the Jedi, much much better than Dark Empire.

yes all of the star wars comics veitch and anderson worked on together are really good. Can't wait for the new series rebellion and Kotor coming next year from dark horse. Has anyone been following the whole luke on Jabiim Story Arc in the comics, are they any good? You know the comics that link empire and republic together, the luke vader/ anakin story arc?

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

Its all right, you'd not be missing much if you didn't read it.

Does anybody know of a good website for Star Wars comic art? In particular I'm looking for cover art from some of the more recent comics (i.e last 5 years or so). Thanks in advance.
