I've always thought Crisis was good, but a bit over-rated. The DC crossovers, "events" etc are it's biggest strength and also it's greatest weakness.

Yeah, Crisis wasn't quite as gripping or as epic as I thought it would be, but it is still recommendable. The cover alone is worth paying money for. (But not $30! Don't misunderstand me!)

Skywalker As The Joker? It's No Joke
Original Star Wars star Mark Hamill has joined the shortlist of favorites to play The Joker in the Batman Begins sequel. The actor, who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi, has become a fan favorite to play Batman's colorful foe. He joins Crispin Glover and Aussie actor Lachy Hulme on the three-strong internet shortlist. Hamill became an obvious choice for some Batman fans after voicing The Joker for the Batman cartoon series. A spokesman for top Batman website Darkhorizons.Com points out, "The net basically picked Christian Bale to play Batman, so who knows." Batman Begins opens across America and Europe this week.

Mark Hamill IS the Joker.

It would be so awesome if he got the role in this new Batman franchise. People say he doesn't look the part physically, but under all the necessary Joker make-up I'm sure he'd be fine, and his personality and voice/laugh would carry the rest.

I thought Spiderman 3's villain wasn't finalized yet.

well its the rumor, and the evidence for it seems to be pretty difinitive. i could see them doing a duel villian thou, with the sandman and the introduction of venom or something. have venom part 1 in SM 3 and venom as the full fledged villian on SM4

So, Batman Begins came out today, I didn't get around to seeing it though.

Can anyone that did give some opinions?

the best batman movie by far!!!! Better than Burton's version and leaves Shumakers(SP?) version in the dust.

How big was Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman's role?

Their performances are the only ones that really worry me.

I haven't seen it myself, but my friend who is a batman purist LOVED it. he said gary oldmen did a fantastic job, and he said he thought the movie was flawless, so i am guessing that morgan free man did a good job as well.

To many actors period can ruin a movie. I think if anything was going to ruin a Batman film it would be the villains or the script.

guys just go see the movie. it's by far and purhaps the best movie out there this summer. Yeah, you heard right the best one this summer! Go see it, You'll love it!

It's getting really good reviews. I'll let you all know what I think after the weekend.

Okay, I saw it and I must say, its the best batman flick, well, ever.

Batman's character was handled perfectly in my opinion and all of the actors performed past all of my expectations, especially Bale.

Bale has gotten Batman's voice down to a T, he must have definitely taken a cue from the way Kevin Conroy delivered the lines.

It may seem a little over the top at first, but thats the point: Batman thrives on theatrics that put fear into the hearts of criminals.

hmm.. didn't notice the voice all that much. I loved the part where he interogates that cop at the top of that building though. He just screams right in his face! Great stuff. I can't wait for the next one to come out. We saw some of the bat, but the next one will have alot more of the bat in it than this one did.
