a search for fantastic four should bring it up, you have to include dead torrents though. send me a pm here or over on spleen (Agrare) and i can seed it once you have it open and waiting since there are currently no seeders(side note, is it against rules to post a link to a torrent info page here, i know the rules say no direct downloads)

and back to the new fantastic four, while i was looking for pics found this image

maybe it should be in the beautiful women thread?

anyway, its from this site if you care http://sfstory.free.fr/films/fantasticfour.html

Hopefully it'll do well and this won't be the end of Ioan Gruffudd's acting career.

Jessica Alba is NOT beautiful. The fact that they cast her as the Invisible Woman is just ridiculous.

So, who here saw the film adaptation of "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen"?

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

I really hope you were joking....

BTW, I saw LXG. I enjoyed it, though I thought the final battle really betrayed the low budget pretty badly.

im not saying if Jessica Alba is a good casting choice for the invisible woman.

but i think she's pretty hot, especially in that pic...and im sure others agree.

but the invisible woman should be blond

Yes, the Invisible Woman should be blonde, but blonde casting choices than can handle the physicality of the role are pretty slim.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

No, I wasn't joking when I said Jessica's not beautiful. She's not even remotely cute.

Personally though, I think LXG got dumped on WAY too much.

That's about as true as "Cheetos are blue"

LXG just wasn't released at the right time in my opinion, its main problem is that it was up against such heavy hitters like POTC in theaters.

Yeah.

The movie and the story weren't really that bad, though the plot twist was sort of spoiled for me by the acursed IGN review.

Okay, several opinions to express...

1. I am looking forward to the new Fantastic Four if for no other reason than Michael Chiklis as The Thing. He'll be great. Plus I am liking the idea of Julian McMahon as Dr. Doom.

2. Jessica Alba is hot. No question. Is she right for the role of the Invisible Woman? My initial inclination says no, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and watch it anyway.

3. That dude playing Mr. Fantastic in the old 90s movie version reminds me of Tom Cavanaugh in Ed. Evidence...

4. Did you know that the guy playing Mr. Fantastic in that version is Alex Hyde-White who played the young Henry Jones in IJ Last Crusade but his scenes were deleted? Funny tidbit.

Agreed. Personally I dont think she looks as good as a blond (glad they kept that consitency with the comic though). Also from what i remember of her in that series "Dark Angel" i think she can handle the tough superhero chick...though i dont know enough of the comic storyline to know if she should be a tough superhero chick or just a superhero chick...but like Bossk said, ill with hold judgement untill i see the movie

If the studios want to make a successful comic book adaptation, they should try reading a Marvel saga called "Secret Wars (the 1st)". Imagine a 3 hour movie featuring spider-man, fantastic four, the x-men, plus a lot of other super heroes and super villains, and Galactus!
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. I don't think Secret Wars would work. Too many conflicting characters and personalities to fit on the big screen at one time. It would be like Black Hawk Down in that you never get much emphasis on any one character and you'd walk out of the theater feeling rather unsatisfied. In BHD this is okay, because they are supposed to be just soldiers. But to have the XMen, FF, Spidey, et al, on screen at once all of which are recognizable characters and none having a significant amount of screentime simply due to the need to get the story told, would just be way too much in too little time.

Yes but all those characters have been "presented" to the audience in their own films, so you wouldn't lose too much time with it. Also, there would be some changes to fit the current "movie" characters.

Regardless of having their own films, it would still be too much. And can you imagine the budget on this one? For this film to work with your "previous films" idea, you'd almost need the original actors to make it work. Yikes!!! That would take years for the BO take to cover the budget to turn a profit.

For the same reason, A justice League movie should be limited to the First two season charactres and avoid Justice League Unlimited nonsense.
