Chaltab I go to pubs and night clubs and raves and I don't usually drink, so you don't really have to. Until recently I wasn't drinking nothing at... Now, the only two alcohoolic things I can drink is white champagne on new years eve and Smirnoff Ice on some rare ocasions.

Shimraa, I'm sorry I forgot, but where are you from? Wherever that is: are there good night clubs around there?

Sure, I could go and not drink, but there's still that me being underage and hating crouds part of the deal.

But there are many bars and nightclubs that prohibit those under the legal drinking age from entering the establishment. This is not a nationwide law, but usually something determined more by the city in which the bars are located. DeKalb, IL, where I went to college, wouldn't even allow people into liquor stores if they were underage. I like the rule myself. Keeps bouncers more aware and they don't have to keep an eye on underage people once they are inside to make sure they're not drinking beverages purchased for them by a legal friend. I don't see any reason for someone who is underage to need to be in a bar or nightclub. They have clubs for underage kids and there are plenty of other activities to take part in. Why would you need a bar?

Chaltab, I'm supportin' you, man. No need to worry about clubbing. Don't let Shimmy go trying to influence you.

Over here you can buy alcohool when you're 18, and most of the "serious" night clubs don't allow people under 18 - I only go to these. There are lots of night clubs with no age limit, but those don't go too late and are not as fun.

Nowadays I don't really go to night clubs anymore, I rather the good bar/pub environment, with some friends... Perhaps I'm getting old.

I'm 24. I used to do the whole clubbing and drinking thing, but, truth be told, I never truly enjoyed it. Now I'm older and not at school (peer pressure, etc) I have quit drinking and just do what I wanna do. Chaltab, I'm with you man, you sound like a smart dude for realising so early.
By the way, I'm not saying clubbing or drinking is bad, just not my thing, and evidently not Chaltab's, and he is cool enough to say 'it's not my thing so I'm not doing it'.
