I actually think out of all the ESB posters I've seen, coov, that this particular one that you've used in your latest cover there probably suits the "not using the same damn poster" idea the best. Well, 2nd to the magnificent red Vader one you did anyway

Can anyone send me a copy of this (ocmovie's ANH edit sounds amazing![pm me if possible])
Your going to do ROTJ right? That film also is in need of some serious editing!
Possibly even fixing up the lightsabers (the duel is quite dark, I don't think changeing to laserdisc for that part will hinder the quality)

Coov, you are a god amonsgt graphic designers.

This is your actual job and you're just helping us out because you can, right? I think I remember reading that. Cuz if it's not your actual job to design awesome things, it should be.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Great covers Coov.

The brushed metal look looks great for ESB. I've never liked that particular poster, but if it's gonna be used on a Classic Edition cover this would be the way to do it. =)

I'd love to steal your Photoshop files to try different posters on that backdrop. Evil thoughts come into my mind ....

The Deleted Magic one is very nice and classy in your minimalist "Fight Club" kind of style ... "it's so Coov!" I'm glad to see Jenny and Camie on the front, they deserve it. Definitely a unique approach, and evocative of the Lost Cut. Would love to see more Deleted Magic covers from you if you ever have time. =)

Yes, I'm aware of what my own discs are.

It's just not one of my huge favorites, is all. A cover would be okay, but eh.

Thanks for all of the support guys! There seems to be something missing from the Deleted Magic one. The front looks a little bare to me... I will do a little more tweaking.... especially to make it more in line with the other 2. Image choices where pretty slim... high res ones at least.
I can get you the photoshop files for all of them... I can either mail ya a CD, or if you have FTP access that would be ideal. Let me know what posters you would like me to try. I would have loved to used that one poster that you wanted me to use... but the quality of that, and the most recent link, are really still no where near the quality I would hope to have on these covers. Thanks again dudes'sz!

So, the 25th anniversary poster for Empire has the 2004 emperor on it. Meh.

War does not make one great.

Technically it is the 1983 Emperor. Still not the old lady with the chimpanzee eyes.

I tweaked it a bit.....

Coov, any chance that you might make these cover into slim cover as well?

No... not at the moment. Sorry. Feel free to do with them as you wish, though.

Coov,

best "alternative style" covers ever. Keep up the good work.

OK... you guys are either going to poop all over yourselves... or just think this is just stupid looking...
...but putting these 3 covers together really made the Deleted Magic one look quite dull.... I felt the need to liven it up a bit.

Coov,

I think the bricks are a bit too much. Is there a concept behind using the bricks?

I prefer the previous version of the cover. It has the look of an old discolored, typewritten script, especially which the typewriter-looking font. To me that seems to go much better with the concept of Deleted Magic.

Erik

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

Yeah... it is pretty much just a concept at this point. The other 2 have some great color to them.... and Deleted Magic, not so much. Just a little messing around to liven it up a bit.

thank you very much, ocpmovie this is really COOL,great work,i only watched about 40 mins so far but this is great, keep up the fantastic work, now we need ROTJ,but i have 1 question for you,you use white inkjet hub printable dvdr's,why dont you print all the way to the hub,if you have the EPSON printer, you can adjust to print to the inside and outside edge, and it looks alot better, not complaining, just curious.
thanks again ocp

I would say it ties into the wood grain and 'metal' look of the classic editions. I like it, I like both versions.

Heh. Well done brick texture, but your first original version of Deleted Magic was probably stronger layout-wise. You're right that it lacks any color, I'd like to see a completely different concept using color photos and things if that's the goal as I don't know how this one, which is based around black and white, could easily be made more colorful. Hm.

Hi-res versions?

Any chance of someone here sending me ocp's copy of Empire? Would love to see it, and compare it to the other versions.
Also as with the other versions I have, I'll PIF to anyone who asks.
Coz I'm a nice guy like that

I thank you!
