"ESB CE"

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Anyone else getting this error trying to burn these files (downloaded from Demonoid)?

File 'VIDEO_TS.VOB' is not referenced and should not be present
DVD-Video files reallocation failed

Removing that file cleared the error, I'm just concerned I've lost something.

I get that error from time to time in Nero, and I just proceed anyway. Never had an unplayable disc by doing that.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I'll be downloading this once ANH CE finally finishes.

I don't recall all of OCP's edits having that error, just ESB (which explains why I have two copies, one without that file). As far as I know, the disc plays just fine without that file, so it's probably nothing to worry about.

Only the originals from the 70mm six-track Dolby stereo Dolby format 42 will sound better on DVD.

It's *just* the BGM, and I don't think it's on any "legit" DVDs.

Hello

Well they looked phoney. After looking at the beginning of this thread I was going to hire the limited edition from the Flicks dvd library early this evening. But thank god they only had the 2004 editions which, I happening to already own.

So I hired Million Dollar Baby, sorry George looks like you’re losing the power of the force, and if you think I’m going to buy those 2007 editions well you can get stuffed this is one fan you’ve lost, time to move on.

I also found the captures of the Star Wars images shocking. I’ll have to pull out some the early laserdiscs and some of the DVD-RW where I transferred the definitive collection. I mean I must have saved a fortune sorry George I wont pay for something that’s not original with the soundtrack being Dolby stereo that was heard on 35mm prints, nah don’t want that version but I would like the 70mm six-track Dolby stereo version on DVD and you damn well know what the fans wanted, you just weren’t reading the forums…

Why doesn't everyone upload .ISOs instead of those stupid VTS_folders with all those .vobs? I recently downloaded the fanfiltration of Dune, only to have to delete it because it wasn't an .iso & i couldn't find a program to burn it with. Seriously, why can't everyone just upload .ISO (???)
Because, if it's a torrent, it's easier to DL part of a VOB and quickly determine quality. Or snarf the extras first (they're usually a separate, smaller VOB). And because "fake"-makers always post in ISO because they want you to waste the maximum amount of time and bandwidth before discovering that you've been hosed.

For PC, ImgTool is a handy utility for generating ISOs from subdirectories. Nero has no trouble with them at all (no arcane monkey-business whatsoever), and I can also drag-n-drop them onto VLC Media Player to see if all the menus are working properly.

LordJedi,

Could you tell me if the 4.3gb version presently on Demonoid is the same one you originally seeded?

It's a little odd, given that both the SW and RotJ Classics are both over 6gb.

Basically, I'm suspecting that someone has UL'd a DVDShrunk derivative.

...or was ESB always DVD5-sized instead of DVD9?

I burned this today and got the "File 'VIDEO_TS.VOB' is not referenced and should not be present DVD-Video files reallocation failed" error and ended up burning a coaster instead of a dvd. What do i have to do with this to make a playable dvd?

ROTJ CE was the first to actually have a DVD9 version, then SW CE 2.0 was a DVD9. Ocp always said a DVD9 version of ESB "technically" existed, but I guess nobody ever got it from him.

I'm not sure. I have two copies of this. One has that file and the other doesn't. I suspect that I burned one as a DVD-ROM and just manually created the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders. The other I probably just burned and dealt with the error. Both copies seem to run in my DVD player (Cyberhome). I use Nero to burn if that helps any.

I don't know what else to say. This came up a while back and I think the consensus was that the file wasn't really needed anyway. You could try burning a DVD without it and see what happens. SL DVDs are really cheap, so going through 2 or 3 isn't that big of a deal.

Open the DVD in VobBlanker (free) and process the whole DVD. It will repair the information in ifo files. 100% sure.

I watched this for the first time last night, and I was really impressed. I really couldn't see the edits and couldn't tell the difference between the DVD and LD footage. I did notice some of the "jerkiness" that some others here mentioned (mostly towards the end of the film in a shot of a cloud car flying and of Piett walking) but not a whole lot.

I'm also amazed that I never noticed the music editing during the Boba Fett escape scene, and that the music had ended before the scene was over.

IMHO, this is really all one could hope for in a fan edit- the clarity and resolution of the '04 DVDs, but with none of the glaring SE changes.

I look forward to watching OCP's ANH and ROTJ classic edits.

Is there anyway this could be seeded once again? (along with the other classic editions?)
