Also, aren't you afraid of what might happen when the kid grows big enough and strong enough to hit you back?

Why would he want to do that? He gets the odd smack on the arse...nothing heavy!!

My son gets told off on a regular basis when with his two sisters.

On his own he's the perfect child, as soon as sister no 1 is on the scene, things change...

That's kids....I Love 'em to death, but sometimes they drive you up the wall!!

well, you see, some kids have to odd tendency to grow up angry at people that hit then when they are kids.   I know that is very strange, but it does happen.

huh?  I read his post because doubleofive quoted it.   I then responded and took xhonzi off ignore.  I see nothing redundant.

Maybe they should modify the ignore function so the ignored user's posts aren't even visible in quotes... although that'd be pretty fucking hard to program I guess... otherwise the actual ignore function is pretty useless isn't it.

:D

but that were true, I would have never seen xhonzi's apology.

Yes you would, if you had your cat killed by teh curiosity and actually clicked on that seductive, little "show post" button :D

All of which just kinda showcases the utter silliness of the whole "ignoring" and "unignoring" thing, especially when such actions as publically anounced.

But hey... you know... not gonna argue about that one all over again now...

Think I liked it better when 2/4 stayed out of off-topic.

certain people have upset me and I no longer wish to read their posts, so I put them on ignore.  I trust the others that if there is something the ignored person posts that I should really see, they will quote it.   Of course in regular conversation with the ignored person, others do quote stuff that I may not want to see, but I just have to put up with it.   The thing may not be perfect, but it works for me.

I have no problem ignoring people. In fact, I'm glad that occasionally the people I'm ignoring are quoted by other people. Seeing their posts reminds me that I'm not missing anything worthwhile by ignoring them.

sorry, but there are limits as to what you can do even in your house.   For example you can't murder, rape someone in your house, and there limitations as to how far your corporal punishment can go.   That's the law.

Warb, not everything is meant as serious.

However, if xhonzi wants to rape me in his house*....well, it's his house, who am I to argue?
