Changes from ROTS teaser

I checked out the ‘A Hero Falls’ music video on the official site and noticed that Vader’s arms are no longer up and bound. I think that it looks a lot better with them down by his side. That is a definite improvement because it looked stupid before.

I plan to pick up the soundtrack but I am still boycotting seeing the film in the theater. I may be the only one, but I have no desire to see it in the theater. I will not cave in and have not forgotten how Lucas pretty much said FU to fans who wanted the Original Versions on DVD. “Oh, those are on VHS if you want them.” I believe his smartassed reply was. I will see Episode III when I rent (not buy) it on DVD. I don’t own any of the other Star Wars films on DVD since I sold off my Phantom Menace DVD. I would only buy that complete saga DVD collection Lucas mentioned if he would include the Original Versions.

That being said, I believe ROTS will be the best of the prequels and may make the most money. It will definitely do better than Clones since it doesn’t have any fierce competition.

Sorry about the rant. I thought people would be interested to know about the changes made in that scene from the teaser, but I also wanted to make clear that my stance hasn’t changed on seeing Episode III in the theater.

Good calls, Patrick. My friend Alex and I noticed the arm change as well and it does help hide Hayden's girly little arms... lol.

Though I already have tickets to the first show of ROTS (sorry- a tradition starting with my Mom taking me to the opening night of SW when I was 6 years old on through the recent films) I still have my reservations about it. Not that I think it will suck; much like Apple Computer's old motto, I think this prequel will 'suck less' than AOTC just as AOTC 'sucked less' than TPM.

What is truly sad is that I find myself judging these films not by how good they are but instead by to what degree they suck. That's an awful way to be but I (and apparently many others) can't help it.

It is going to be hard for me to break tradition too in a way. I actually didn't see the first Star Wars in the theater. I begged my mom to take me for a long time because she hates films like that. I was 7 when it came out. By the time she agreed it had left the theater and we had to see it at the drive-in. I saw ESB and JEDI with friends. I saw TPM at the midnight showing. I waited until good neighbor hour on opening weekend for AOTC because of previous disappointment with TPM and only saw it once. With the exception of the original, AOTC was the only Star Wars film I saw only once in the theater or drive-in. I saw the others multiple times. I don't count the SE's of the Original Trilogy which I also saw in the theater only once as well.

I have purchased most of the soundtracks up to this point though. I didn't buy off brand titles or compilations though. I have the Original Trilogy LP's, the 4 CD boxed set, and the deluxe two CD sets that came out in 1997. As for the prequels, I've bought both the standard and deluxe TPM CD's, and AOTC on CD. I'll try to pick up ROTS tomorrow. If they come out with complete scores of AOTC and ROTS, I will probably buy those as well since I am a sucker for Williams' Star Wars scores. I've had many versions of the ESB soundtrack. I've had it on 8-Track, cassette, LP (which I bought twice because the first one was warped), and on the CD's I've already mentioned. Shadows of The Empire is the only non Williams Star Wars CD I have.

LOL...I remember all the "Darth Mittens" comments made about that. I guess the Internet is a powerful force for change.
