Celebration 2017 Speculation — Page 3

I’d love a series about the fall of Ben Solo, it’d definitely be more dramatic than a book about it.

As for the Celebration surprise(s), someone mentioned earlier the possibility of it being a Lucas appearance. That would be fitting, and I don’t think anyone said the surprise would be any kind of announcement. If anything, the big surprise being merchandise of any kind, including a new home media release, would probably get an underwhelming “making the fans buy the same movies again” response, OOT or not. That doesn’t sound like a fitting enough surprise for such a huge panel.

It will probably be Ford and Lucas. But neither of those is really a big deal. Short of the OOT or Carrie back from the dead, there’s very little they can do to “surprise” us.

I’m starting to think you’re right, and that we’re probably getting our hopes up for no good reason at all.

If it ever happens, it will probably be an out of the blue announcement when we least suspect it just like the GOUT was.

Would be nice to hear her talk about the challenges of editing the original film.

I would love to see her grant just one tell-all interview.

It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

I think what duracell is saying is that it’s a shame Disney doesn’t do traditional animation anymore, not that every one of their films should be so animated.

Was that MSW article about the OUT ever debunked? That’s still the most compelling evidence for me. Their track record is superb.

Bill Hunt claims to have. His argument wasn’t compelling, IMO.

The Star Wars Show again hinted at something huge happening during the 40 Year Anniversary panel today…

No, only story execution can dictate that.

Man, if they try to spin details on a tv show as huge…ugh.

I’d say “this”, but everyone prefers “either/or” scenarios, so …

Alright, fair enough. I don’t care about that but I can see why some people would.

I’m having trouble confirming because the Celebration site is a navigational nightmare, but I believe there’s a major panel called “The Future of Star Wars” or something to that effect. That seems to me like a more appropriate place to announce new shows or anthology films than the 40th anniversary panel.

Aye, they made a pretty big deal about it…

Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Yes, but it should be a found-footage sitcom called Solo Family Home Movies.

Most Star Wars fans buy things over and over again without hesitation and for those who don’t shouldn’t complain about it because they aren’t forced to buy anything

It feels like they’re hinting at a George Lucas appearance, though I doubt he wants anything to do with it now.

That would be awkward considering he called Disney white slavers.

I’m sure Disney has had it’s revenge. George can’t go to the front of any lines at Disneyland anymore. 😉
