Now that you mention it, I really liked that movie too.

It was the ONLY one of the recently released SD to recapture the original feeling (coincidentally, wasn't it the first released movie that began this "new" reincarnation?)

Who here agrees with me that the live action Scooby-Doo films suck horribly?

I think you're mistaken Dayv. I'm pretty sure its Zombie Island that spawned interest for a 3-4 more animated movies and the new cartoon show that's on now.

*runs to check IMDB and Frank Welker's info since he's been the only Fred Jones

Cyber Chase in 2001.
Alien Invaders in 2000.
Witch's Ghost was in 1999.
Zombie Island was 1998.

Before that, the last Scooby-Doo entry for Frank is 1994.

We don't get Cartoon Network in the Great White North, but we get several of the shows on Teletoon (the Canadian version). My personal favourite right now is Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends; more fun from the sick & twisted mind of Craig McCracken, the creator of The Powerpuff Girls. I do occasionally watch some of the Adult Swim stuff (Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Brak Show, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law), but Foster's is my fave of the moment.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I STAND CORRECTED. THEY ALL START TO LOOK THE SAME AFTER 10 STRAIGHT HOURS OF VIEWING.

Amen to that. Never been a Scooby fan, and laughed my butt off at the scene in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back: "Anyone up for some Dooby-Snacks?"

THEY HAD A BETTER SCOOBY CAST IN J&S THAN THE CAST THEY HAD FOR THE OFFICIAL SCOOBY DOO MOVIES.

BTW, what was the reason for Casey Kasem not voicing Shaggy in Zombie Island?

It seems he jumped back into his role after not voicing him in ZI and the Cyber whatzit.

Oh yeah, Gundark- Harvey Birdman! That ranks up there with Sealab as some seriously twisted sh*t. Hilarious though- from the trial of Shaggy to the Jetsons not being able to walk across a room... ahahhahahaaaa...

As a kid, I always thought Scooby-Doo was pretty fun and watched it most afternoons when I got home from school. Then one day the local station started running the episodes with the Three Stooges, Laurel & Hardy (or was it Abbot & Costello?), etc. Around the same time we had rented about 80% of the Stooges tapes and a good bit of the L& H and A&C stuff from a super-cool local video store, and I was a huge fan of all of them. I also knew that all those guys were dead as dirt, and didn't deserve the disrespect I saw them getting from Scooby and the gang.

Ever since, I have hated Scooby-Doo. My reasons for my abiding disgust with that stupid dog and his stupid human cohorts have varied and evolved over the years, but the feeling has never wavered. I resolved that if I ever buy a Subaru, I will name it Farmer Pinkerton or Old Man MacGillicuddy in protest of the tendency of many Subaru owners to call their cars Scoobies. When Mrs. Enzo and I bring a child into the world, I will do my best to raise it on a steady diet of Disney and Looney Tunes shorts, Stooges, and all things good and non-Scooby.

When I first saw this clip on the re-airing of the 2002/2003 Adult Swim New Year's whatchamacallit, I laughed. Hard. So hard that I didn't laugh harder until I saw Lazy Sunday a month ago.

Enjoy...

I don't think I've ever seen someone dislike SD so much.

Sure, those, along with the 13 Ghosts, and The New Scooby Doo movies were horrrible, but I've always got a soft spot for the original.

I was always a fan of 13 Ghosts for some reason. I never saw every episode, but it was a new take on Scooby with a new group. And it actually had a continuing story line. Plus, Vincent Price was just cool as Vincent Van Ghoul. And I was always pretty fond of Flim Flam too. Then again, I never really minded Scrappy that much either...

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I was very disappointed to hear that CN discontinued the 2002 He-Man series. And I'm very frustrated with the lack of Justice League that's been readily available.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

I never saw the 2002 He-Man series, but anything would've been an improvement over the 80s show.

Yes it did, along with many other He-Man DVD's. And in August 2006 the 2002 series is slated for DVD release. Something to look forward to.
