Can Luke wake up?

I was just watching Empire and I realized something strange. People may have noticed this but it's the first time it occurred to me. At the beginning when Luke is hanging up side down and he wakes up. Can he really wake up that way?

Here is what I'm thinking. If enough blood rushes to your head you can pass out. (I could be wrong) Luke was knocked unconscious before he was hung upside down. Now with all the blood rushing to his head while unconscious like that, is it possible to regain consciousness from that position?

I don't know, I'm not a doctor. Any thoughts on this matter?

Maybe this could go in "Plot Holes"... according to my partner, who knows a little about medical type stuff, inverting the body may actually help the person to regain conciousness. Personally I have no idea.

It has been a while, but... he was really unconscious? I thought he was just, you know, kinda dizzy and stuff.

Well, considering some people sleep upside down (Batman...others actually do it too...good for your back), I'm sure it's possible for you to wake up sooner or later...

well if you want to help someone who is unconscious you are should lay that parson on the back and lift her/his legs, that way there will be enough blood going to the head. so I guess that's a good thing to regain consciousness, but I don't know, it's just a movie after all. or you could try it yourself: ask one of your friends to knoxk you down and then to hang you upside down and then tell us how much time you needed to wake up... *anxiously awaiting result of this experiment*

Well I do have a night of heavy drinking planned for tonight. I'll tell my friends that if I pass out, to hang me up by the legs and time how long it takes me to wake up.

I'll post the results later.

That is IF I wake up...ha ha ha

I totally forgot to reply to this thread after that night. If it wasn't for wookie posting something here I bet this thread would have just gone away. I think it should anyway.

I didn't hang upside down but I did get drunk and got into a fight with my girlfriend. So that's pretty much what happens whenever we go out. Sorry to let you all down but I did wake up.
