Burning a BD so it will play on PS3?

I have very little experience with burning discs, but it is imperative that the PS3 be able to recognize the Blu Ray. My PS3 is my only blu ray player. I’ve already downloaded the AVCHD, and now am ready to burn. I bought Verbatim 25gb 6x BD-R discs, so I can’t mess up and burn over it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
