Keeping the thread alive, rather than pestering...we're on your side 'focuspuller'!  I downloaded the samples successfully for the first time and will listen to them during my lunchbreak, tomorrow..  Can't wait!

...tell a lie, I just listened at home.  My goodness...what a beautiful stereo image to 'Unicorn' & the 'Main Theme & Prologue', even as MP3 samples.  I just immersed myself in them and nearly drifted away!  Made me want to watch the film AGAIN!  Do DVD's wear out?

This looks to be excellent.  Loved the samples.

Cannot wait for this.

Hi everyone. The work continues.....

I was going to post yesterday but I needed to finish work on "2019 [Main Titles]", it has been in expanded  from 5:30 to 6:13 with extended material.

I update the track list as I work so looking there will give you a clue as to what I am doing. A progress update if you will.

Track 4 is titled "Longing (Leon's Room)". On the new official Blade Runner 3 Disc release, this was released as two separate tracks but are in fact part of 1 much larger piece of music. In point of fact, the track titled "Empty Streets" is also part of the same piece of music. However for the purposes of the film, these two sections were split and edited down into what became two famous music cues. One used for Leon's room in the Yukon Hotel when Deckard finds the snake (not fish) scale in the bathtub, and the other used when Deckard uses the Esper Machine and prints out an image of Zhora.

Even though there are still some missing pieces (as there are with all of the music from the soundtrack), the music has been recombined and restored.

Also, the track "Animoid Row" has been moved to the third disc.

Update:

With the exception of one track. I believe that the first disc is completed, including remastering.

I've been putting in a lot of work into the track "The Prodical Son " which will be about 3 minutes longer. After it's completed the rest of the work should move a lot faster.

My aim is to have the project completed before the new year. 09 is going to big a big year for me, so I don't know how much time I will have to work on these kind of projects. But this one WILL be completed, and soon.

My preferred version of this collection is digital. However, a proper collection deserves a proper presentation. So I am including front/back cover art and a booklet.

But at the moment I do need some help regarding source material. If anyone could send me high rez scans of Syd Mead artwork for Blade Runner it would help the collection greatly. This is not for me, this is for the collection. I am trying to get this project completed within the next two months and in between life and work, time is flying by.

I went back and reworked the sound design and remastering for the tracks Longing (Leon's Room) and Blush Response (instrumental).

Longing (Leon's Room) has been slightly expanded from 4:19 to 4:21. These two tracks are now completed.

Thanks goes out to Cassius76 for sending me some of the Syd Mead scans I needed.

Focus, shouldn't it actually be "Leon's Room" rather than Leo?

I know the back of the CD says Leo, but if I had a nickel for every CD with spelling mistakes...

What do you think?

Each track is now listed indicating a basic idea of progress.

Also, the track Dr. Tyrell's Owl has been remastered and expanded from 3:48 to 3:51.

Blimey.  Seeing the tracklist really gives me an idea of just how much work must be going into this project!  I'll try not to keep enquiring, but you know how it is when you're really looking forward to something.  Wish I could help!
