Fantastic project, focuspuller!   Here's to many hours of enjoyment once you've pulled this one off.  In the end, it is sometimes the fans who have to put these things together...all for the love of it.

Well said, Sir!  It'll be a worldwide gift when it comes.  Never too old to love this one.  Cheers, Focuspuller.  ; )

This thread always tickles me to bits. It's been seven years now - it only took four years for Michelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel. ;-)

Hi folks!

I hope everyone is well. Loads of things have happened since my last post. My family has gotten bigger, a move occurred, work is busier than ever, and more relevant to your interests, i purchased a Yamaha CS-80 (an expensive item I can tell you), a Casio CZ-101, and a new computer, for use of this project.

I have a few announcements to make. Last year i received some tapes of some small material. Stuff that has not made it into any BR Soundtrack release so far. The material has been remastered to the highest quality possible added seamlessly to the other tracks. After having finished, gone back and started over, and finished again, Disc 1 is finally complete and locked! I considered the idea of releasing each disc when completed but I holding on to the notion that it will be much better to release the project as a whole. There will however (as before) be sample tracks. The final product will contain FLAC files, with a preview release just before as MP3s. There will also be a contest to see who wins a "Box Set Copy" of the collection, and there will be voting on the artwork.

And lastly, I am moving this project to Facebook for convenience as some others here have done. But a HUGE thanks goes out to everyone at originaltrilogy.com  for the love kindness and support!
Facebook addy posting very soon!

Hi Focuspuller!

Sorry if I came across like a right tool in my last post.

Now my interest considerably piqued. The announcement that you've bought a CS-80 opens up all sorts of possibilities. When I released my version of the BR soundtrack some years ago, I used Arturia's CS-80v soft synth to fill in a few gaps and transitions. As you probably know software (although pretty good sometimes) cannot replace the real thing.

It sounds like your still pretty committed to the project - good luck to you!.

Hello.

Thanks for your hard and continued work on this ambitious project.

As a Facebook skeptic, I don't have an account, and most likely never will. I obviously regret your decision to move the updates there. Oh well...

Have a nice trip.

Still great to hear from you!!!

What's the name of the Facebook group?

EDIT: Also, is there any kind of work being done to create an isolated score track for any of the five cuts?

I watched my 5 disc edition the other day I watched the workprint cut and dangerous days and all the other supplements.

I hope you finish this soundtrack collection off.

Great soundtrack and a great film too.

It’s certainly one of the best soundtracks for a film ever and I hope this project completes.

I read up about some of the sound cues that were missing… Found this might be of use I am not sure.

Blade Runner - Esper ‘Retirement’ Edition seem pretty complete. It has 37 tracks for the main score. But I am not sure if it perhaps have some unused muisc (not heard in the actual film) thrown in there. Each track has been professionally remastered. How will they compare?

Is the track list chronological? The order in which the tracks appear in the film, that is.

Is “The Prodigal Son” the same as “The Prodigal Son Brings Death” also known as “Roy Kills Tyrell and Sebastian”? To add to the confusion, on the Esper Edition there is also a track titled “The Prodigal Son Brings Death (Prelude)”.

What will “Disc 4: Eye World” contain?

Any update in general?

Also, I think it would be nice if you were to index at which time code each track can be heard in the film.
And when it is released, that you detail where you got each track from and any changes you have made to them.

Happy 2019! I was the one who started that blog, and I’ve updated it with original cue titles from the BMI repertoire
