I'd be willing, if someone wants to send me the 15gig version. The 6gig version wouldnt be
worth it, although i've already made a dvd of it.

It's on the region 4 Altered States DVD. I assume it's the same region 1.

Win, do you need a copy of the trailer as well? I could send that to you.

Yes, i would need a copy of the trailer as well. I have some of the dvds that contain
the trailer, but they are all in storage, back in NYC.

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone ever finished making the 15GB HD version? I'm drooling in anticipation...
"Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?"

Any chance that you might be able to send a few out... to those like myself who don't deal with torrents.

sending out a dual-layer? eeek. very expensive. I wouldn't mind doing 2 single layers.

I'd be happy sending out copies to folks, once i complete my download.
I've been doing a lots of copying for folks in my Level 42 group. I just
have them send me the blank dvd, with a self addressed/stamped envelope.
I've done tons, and i can always send the disc out the next day after receipt.
That way, it doesnt cost me anything, and i dont have to drive to the
post office, as i just drop it my post box on the way to work.

Then it would be like having a Hi-Definition laserdisc, as I don't have the ability to combine the two myself for a dual-layer DVD.

If anyone wants to make a cover insert and menu screens, I'll give a free dual-layer copy for your troubles.

Email me for details.

But I can't start it until I've finished my SW trilogy due to the amount of space it's going to take, the 3:2 pulldown removal will probably take a few days instead of normally a few hours for a captured film due to the sheer size of the film.

Wow your version Sound Awesome
Cant wait to see that
Which is the VErsion you will Be doing
Im NOT a FAN of the DIrectors CUT

The only version broadcast was the directors cut.

Personally, i'd rather never see the "happy" version with voiceover again.

I concur.

I'm adding both the original trailer (pretty beat up from VHS) and the DC trailer as well to the first disc. There will be a 2nd disc of extras. I'm not sure if I'll be releasing both at the same time or what.

The menus will be pretty lame but I want to get this done and out. What's on it is what matters.

What format do you need menus in? I can probably whipe something up quick.
Or i can send you jpgs of other BR menus i've done, if u need inspiration.

JPG's or BMP's are cool.

I'm having problems converting the TS to MPG. I was using HDTV2DVD and the resulting file just isn't big enough and the bitrate isn't high enough for my liking. I need to try and fix that. Is there another way to convert it to MPEG?

I've been using that as well, and its worked fine for me. I do think you have options
for specifying exactly what you want in terms of size. If not, try dropping an email
to the programs author. There is a thread of his at www.videohelp.com, and he
is great at responding to questions.

Also, i'll try and send some menus tonite, when i'm home from work.

yeah i just emailed him. i might just do a preliminary version with the program "as is" now. Seems like everyone has the same issue. They want to be able to have control over bitrate and size.

OK here's the deal, folks:

I'm not putting the disc out this week. I've been thinking a lot about it and rather than rush it, I'm going to do it right. I'm also going on a little vacation so I'll be back next week. It will also give Bunnydojo time to work on the menus and exclusive artwork. However, here's what to look forward to.

Disc 1
Movie (mastered from HD, 5.1 Surround)
Original Trailer
Director's Cut Trailer
"Future Shocks" documentary

Disc 2
"On The Edge of Blade Runner" documentary
"Hooray For Hollywood" special

Not sure what else on the second disc. I don't have much more room at this point. Might just put some DVD-Rom bonus features on there.
