has anyone compared the bluray versions to the hd dvd versions? or even to 720p or 1080p versions?

The HD DVD and Blu Ray versions are exactly the same, as is the case with any title that WB released on both formats.
That's not entirely true. There are different encodes on HD and BD and there are also various HD's that have more extras on HD than BD.
Either way, the officially released versions are going to be better than an MPEG TS file.
No, the Blade Runner Blu-Ray and HD-DVD use the same video encode. That was done to save money on 99% of all shared HD-DVD/Blu-Ray releases. They're even re-releasing some in the future with new encodes that take advantage of the greater space for Blu-Ray.
Doesn't really matter though, because the Blade Runner Blu-Ray looks stunning.
Does anyone here have the old “blade.runner.1080i.dd5.1.oar” HDTV capture from 2006 or so lying around? It should weigh in at around 15GB. Thanks!
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!
