Well, Bit Torrent is VERY easy, so if u need help, i'm sure more than a few of us would be
happy to point you at some simple software and/or tutorials.

As i've said earlie in this thread, i'd be happy to pass this along, to folkd who have no way
of getting it otherwise. If you dont mind sending the necessary discs, and a self stamped and
addressed envelope, then drop me a line.

Yeah, the PAL cannot possibly offer much more than a HD version...even with the extra lines.
Can't wait till the HD logo can be edited out from this version!

If you're holding off on this simply because of a translucent HD logo that shows up for a couple of seconds, you've got issues.

Hmm...I thought it was for the entire film; what seconds/part does it come up on? Are you still going to fix it anyways?
I'm also holding off because I don't have any DL-disc/DL-burner & even if I did, my college blocks all forms of Torrents (no matter what program I use), so its all kinda a mute point to me anyways...

Rest assured that HDNET, being possibly the best HiDef network out there, does NOT put logos
on their screen for the entire length of any program. They are well aware of the possible
burn-in effects, so they just pop it up every now and then.

I watched this at least 3 times when it was brodcast on HDNET, and the logo is not very
noticeable.

Nope. I'm not fixing anything. The release is as good as i can make it. And I'm not going to replace those shots with the DVD or something because overall, the quality is fantastic. It doesn't last long and you guys should all remember, this isn't intended to REPLACE the eventual release. This is to tide you over.

And someone needs to tell the guy on myspleen that he's crazy before I do. He's telling me that this isn't genuine HD. Morons.

How's the quality on the "On the Edge of Blade Runner" doucmentary? I already downloaded Rikter/Citizen's version. Is this one worth replacing it?

Well, watched this one from start to finish last night and all that I can say once again is WOW. I had a little problem with my player that seems to skip between what I suspect is the layer change, so I will probably look for a new player.

One thing I thought aboutis that if anyone decides to make a 2.0 of this, it would be cool to have the theatrical audio during the Voice Over parts. I can' remember how many there were, but I think it would be a nice touch for nostalgia.

Of course I'll never miss the happy ending. But a hybrid between the VO and the directors cut would be pretty cool.

So once again, thank you digitalfreaknyc for supplying us with something to hold us over until the official release. You kick some serious ass. Mad props to you my friend.

You're very very welcome. The 5.1 track on this kicks the ass of ANY of the other soundtracks I've heard for the movie.

I had the choice of putting on the original audio track or the extras. I chose the extras as I really don't care for the voiceover.

To be honest, I dont' know the source of mine. It's very possible that it's Rikters. I'm not sure. I got it from someone here a while back and it's 16x9.

It's not mine and don't claim it to be, and I'm 100% sure it's Citizen's transfer.

I have release a version of Citizen's Anamorphic transfer to match my other Blade Runner releases as his had no menus or chapter stops - I also give him full credit for the transfer in the NFO and on the DVD

I agree, just a few mins into it and I'm already in love with how this version looks compared to the official DVD and the fanworks floating around.

DigitalFreakNYC, thanks for the great release (even after all the grief I got for just asking the source), this disc does put ANY and I mean ANY of the current retail discs to shame.

Hey gang - I have the super awesome DigitalFreakNYC Blade Runner on DVD now and have added it to my trade list, I will try to burn it with the eDroj method (dude thanks SO much for that link!!!!) to improve playback compatablity on all players - but I've not yet tried to burn with this method but I do not think that I can add the DVD-Rom folder (sorry gang and DFNYC) but in the event that I cannot I'll include the DVD-Rom on the second disc with a note explaing why it's on disc two

Again, GREAT GREAT release DF!!!!

Anybody try playing the soundtrack folder yet? What file format is .flac? The only thing I've found that plays it is VLC media player.
There's good in the Original Trilogy, and it's worth fighting for.

Do you mean FLAC?

And is it really that hard to Google a file extension?

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.
