Since Better Call Saul has finally come to an end, I’ve decided to see just how seamless we can edit both shows to flow together.
I’m not going to be doing an edit for every single episode, but instead editing particular episodes that can than be swapped in for the official ones.
I wouldn’t consider this an edit suitable for first time watchers of either show. Considering the sometimes noticeable age difference of the characters between cutting the scenes like this, it may take first time viewers out of the experience.
These are some changes I’ve made so far to particular episodes, I will keep adding to this list as it grows:
Better Call Saul
Season 1, Episode 1 (Uno) - Removed Gene opening and repurposed for separate movie
Season 2, Episode 1 (Switch) - Removed Gene opening
Season 3, Episode 1 (Mabel) - Removed Gene opening and repurposed for separate movie
Season 4, Episode 1 (Smoke)- Removed Gene opening and repurposed for separate movie
Season 4, Episode 5 (Quite a Ride) - Removed Saul and Francesca cleaning out Saul’s office scene and added to Breaking Bad episode “Ozymandias”
Season 5, Episode 1 (Magic Man) - Removed Gene opening and repurposed for separate movie
Season 5, Episode 9 (Bad Choice Road) - Added Saul and Mike’s talk in the desert from episode “Saul Gone”
Season 6, Episode 1 (Wine and Roses) - Removed the Police at Saul’s house scene and added to Breaking Bad episode “Granite State”
Season 6, Episode 9 (Fun and Games) - Added Kim signing divorce papers scenes from episode “Waterworks”
Season 6, Episode 10 (Nippy) - All Gene scenes repurposed for separate movie
Season 6, Episode 11 (Breaking Bad) - All Gene scenes repurposed for separate movie
Season 6, Episode 12 (Waterworks) - All Gene scenes repurposed for separate movie

Season 2, Episode 8 (Better Call Saul) - Added Saul, Walter, and Jesse scenes from Better Call Saul episode “Breaking Bad”, added Saul and Mike’s discussion of Walter at Saul’s office from Better Call Saul episode “Breaking Bad”, added Saul arriving at J. P. Wynne High School from Better Call Saul episode “Breaking Bad”
Season 5, Episode 14 (Ozymandias) - Added Saul and Francesca cleaning out Saul’s office from Better Call Saul episode “Quite a Ride”
Season 5, Episode 15 (Granite State) - Added Saul and Walt’s talk in Ed’s bunker from Better Call Saul episode “Saul Gone”, added the Police at Saul’s house from Better Call Saul episode “Wine and Roses”
