Unfortunately the OP specified "home video" release. So you have to pick which one of those will be transferred directly to blu ray :)

The Japanese Special Collection on Blu-Ray. Hmm... No more DVNR but a dirtier picture. I'd probably end up getting that. :D
I know this conversation is a bit of a joke but if you look at it realistically, the 93LDs were probably the first SW release to have a digital master, so with the level of proficiency some people here reached in transfering LDs, I doubt that a DVD (or god save us a Blu-Ray) sourced from the JSC analog masters would look any better than what was already achieved by fans.
Probably an old question, but has anyone ever figured out of if the actual film source used in those first widescreen lasers is the same one as the '93 or a totally different one? (Yes it looks dirtier and more dinged up, but also somehow just...different to me.)
