I prefer more black than blue in his costume, but otherwise I share your sentiment. I'd love to see a live-action version of this suit over the rubber armour and whatever the hell Affleck's wearing.

There are a few things about these photos that make me laugh.
1)The suit looks like it is made out of rubber. If they go down that road I think tights look less silly.
2)it looks like the suit is being used to try and hind the fact that Afleck has a tiny gut and isn't as muscle bound as they want him to be. I know how out of shape I am but then again I am not trying to play Batman. Here is a tip if you get cast as Batman and you want me to believe you would last more then a second in a fight with Superman...HIT THE GYM!
3)The way the buttchin looks like it is being squeezed out of the cowl under pressure. It's just looks silly to me,sorry.

I don't know, it may be the jacket, but Affleck looks more physically imposing than Cavill.

I always felt like Batman should be beefier than Superman, like Bingo said. Superman is supposed to look unassuming as Clark; plus it's not like he even needs muscles, he's from another planet with crazy alien super strength.
Batman however, is just a dude in a suit. He's got nothing apart from his money, his brains, and his skills as a fighter/detective. He's gotta be a big dude.

If the title didn't already confirm it then this ^ does. It's gonna be based closely on Frank Miller's terrible comic book TDKR. You can't have a fight between a man and a god, it's just silly. I liked MOS but right now I'm not planning on ever seeing this.

I'm almost sure Affleck will be fantastic. He's spent a decade trying to get his credibility back and won, he wouldn't have signed for this role unless he thought he could prove everybody wrong.

Comic con teaser trailer apparently. I think it's basically Batman in power armour puts on bat-signal and it illuminates Superman in the sky. Their eyes glow etc.

Dark Knight Returns had a fat Batman logo like so. On its own it's a good comic, but put it in the universe of its lackluster sequel and All-Star Batman as Miller has and it's not that good.
I'm not optimistic at all, but I will be seeing this. We've waited too long for me not to.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. TDKR influenced the Tim Burton films.

The imitators misunderstood it. It was neither "gritty" nor realistic. It was epically insane. Joker killed Dr Ruth. Batman climbed out of a tank to fight a guy just to be badass. He and Superman fight like a couple of insane gods.

Wow,I just lost all interest in this movie. I am pretty sure this was Frank Miller's idea. The man thinks Batman is just an insane killing machine. He seems to think Batman and Judge Dredd are the same person.
