I did a cut of Batman the killing Joke. This edit is not the book version but it takes the flashback scenes of joker and puts them in the beginning of the film. I watched this edit and really enjoyed it. The pacing of the book was really not something that translated to the screen. This cut shapes the narrative into something closer to a two part BTAS episode. All in all, a much more concise watch. Of course losing the goofy prologue is a must, but I think this edit somehow manages to salvage what may have been a bad idea in general. There was no need to try to recreate the book frame by frame. The narrative works better with the Joker’s origin opening the story, standing on it’s own gives it some space emotionally.
Only recommendation would be to move the first part of the end credits to the beginning to give the film some titles. Not a necessity though. Good stuff.

Watched it a few weeks ago. Your edit is more enjoyable and closer to the source material. You did quite a good job. As for the credits, do them as you feel it, both options are good.

I am also very interested in the edit. I would love a PM. I had an idea awhile back of somehow creating a narrative using footage from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker and Killing joke.
I wanted to have it as an epilogue to the series as an end for both Tim and Barbara. Joker would survive though.
Agree with putting the Joker origin parts all together at the start. Prefer this to the book cut in all honesty as that removed some scenes, while not in the book, I felt worked on the whole.
