why dont you think he should be banned warbler? of all the posters on this site i would have to say that he was the worst. the fact hat he went off site to pic a fight with an old member is a better reason then any of the ones we used b4, cause it shows his character, and do you really want someone who would go pick a fight with some one he didnt even know on the site. i sure as hell dont.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I was staying so neutral in this whole AWK thing that I really have no opinion about him being banned. When he started spamming my Six Degrees thread, I told him I didn't want him to do so, and he accepted my "request."

And this other guy that Luke mentions in the beginning of this thread, I've never even heard of before now.

TheOutrider is one of the many accounts Adamwankenobi created to bypass his ban. There were five or six I think. They've all been locked. He contacted me via e-mail requesting I lift the ban with a promise that he'll behave. I told him things around here were too heated and he should stay away a few weeks before attempting a return, and warned him that any new accounts proved to be his would only lengthen his ban.

I'll probably unlock his account in a little while and keep an eye on his posts. Jimbo got a second chance after his ban, so I'll extend the same courtesy to AWK. I was pretty mean in my response to his initial e-mail, which is what probably prompted his outbursts. He really pissed me off though.

I'm guessing the ignore function in the new software will minimize the need for banning except in extreme cases.

So this whole "ignore" function... does it mean that you would never see any indication of a post from someone you don't want to read posts from therefore meaning that you could wind up reading a reply to this person's post not knowing that they ever posted anything in the first place which means the reply would lose all context? Or will there be some cell in its place that has some notification that a post was there from a person you've opted to ignore so you don't think you're going completely batty?

first I am not against banning AWK. I was saying I was against Jay banning Jay.

Second who picked fight with who? I hope you don't an actual physical altercation.

Jay, I personally think AWK should be banned for life. His posts in the Bueatiful Women thread were sick. If that and all his other stupid posts were all he did, I say maybe a only a temp ban was in order. But to come back here and post under a different name again and again and again after being banned, and then posting all pictures in the other threads is inexcusable. That kind bull**** can not be tollerated. I say make an example of him. Jay, you are the boss here and he defied you and basically took over the forum for a day.
IMHO, there can be only one justifiable punishment for that: a permanent ban. If you don't whats to stop other inmature posters from trying the same thing? I never thought I say this, but he is actually worse than J****.
