I was going to try this, and came to the slow realization that I don't have ROTS yet. I coulda sworn I bought that already. Silly me - have to wait.

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

Lol, your thoughts betray you!

I once bought a dvd and when I came home I found I already had it on the shelf...
Fez: I am so excited about Star Whores.
Hyde: Fezzy, man, it's Star Wars.

I'm finished, but it seems to play BOTH sets of subtitles (retail DVD, and Backstroke) at the same time. How can I get rid of this? I don't even want the retail subtitles on the DVD.

My stance on revising fan edits.

It plays them as secondary subtitles. It happened to me in PowerDVD.

LOL....hey, I admit it, I downloaded the leaked xvid. But I DID see it in the theater as well, and DID intend to buy the commercial release (as I have Eps. I and II.) I just thought I already had.

(That being said, I never saw AOTC in the theater. Like all other films since TPM, I just waited for the DVD.)

So has anyone figured an IFO fix for this yet?

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I got it. Here is the fix. Took me a little while to figure it out, but it's done. First post edited to contain the fixed IFOs and instructions. Everything should be proper now!

The menus are 16x9 and the timecode is now set properly, but it still won't load into DVD Shrink. What version are you using to test that?

Tell me another way to upload them and I will. I don't know why you're having problems though. Just click the link, click "free", wait a few seconds and there ya go!

No problem. Cool. Let me know what happens on the PAL version. Maybe one day I will try the FS NTSC version, though I don't think it would be any different.

MAN!!! New files and everything... still get an error:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.

Failed to open file "H:\Ep3\STARWARS\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_7.VOB"

The system cannot find the file specified.

When I demuxed the video, all I got was 6 VOB files. Where did you all get the 7th? Straight video and second audio track, right? Should only be 6.9 gig.

What am I doing wrong?

Use SmartRippper.

If ypu have the DVD in your DVD-Rom drive, it will try to read it. It may say something about files being locked. If so, use PowerDVD (or whatever software player you have) to play the movie or a few seconds first. What I usually do is just play it and then skip around a few chapters and stuff. Smartripper should automatically find the main movie on the disc. If not, it's Title 7, program chain 1. Click on "Stream processing". Click on "none" to deselect all files on the next screen. Click the check box next to "VIDEO NTSC" and change the little selector to "demux to extra file". Do the same thing for the second audio track (English AC3 2ch). Change the target folder to your demuxed folder. Click on Start. (Start will not appear if you don't have enough HD space.)

You should end up with an ac3 audio file and and m2v video file, as well as some blank vob files and stuff. Use these m2v and ac3 files and start over with the instructions from "Star Wars BotW kit" in the first post.

No, ArtGuy is right, there shouldn't be a 7th VOB file. At least I don't have one, and I followed all instructions. Also, I'm still getting that error in DVD Shrink:

"Invalid data in VTS_01_1.VOB"

When did I ever say there's a 7th vob file? I'm gonna redo this again following all of my instructions, starting with smartripper.

I can't believe how many times I've done this from scratch, all for some poorly (or hyper correct) translated subtitles. *LOL*

So... it's good to know that I'm right, but how do I fix it? It's muxing now. I'm not deleting them this time (again).
