Back to the Future

Ok, I just went to see a play in downtown St. Paul, and guess who was one of the castmembers? Marvin Berry from Back to the Future!! At least he played Marvin Berry. It was some play about African American homosexuals...I think Jimbo was in the audience somewhere, or perhaps that was him on stage! J/K.

Anyways, how cool is that? I just wanted to scream "EARTH ANGEL"!!!
Which is the more foolish, the fool (the OT) or the fool who follows (the PT)?

"Stay back, or Mr...Fett gets it!"

Yeah... not likely.

Well. At least that part of my mind still works right.

On topic: I bought the back to the Future DVD set, and the sticker on the box clearly said WideScreen, but When I actually played the movies, it is full screen! Curse false advertising!

I would call that justification for an exchange, don't you think?

It is justification for an exchange. Read. You can justify exchanging it and they can't put up a stink because it was mismarked. Now get off your ass and get in to the store where you bought it and show them. Do you still have the sticker?

Probably not. I opened it on the way back from Johnson City, which is about 30 miles away from where I live, and this was two weeks ago.

Try taking it back to Target. They're pretty good about it even if you don't have a receipt. If it's for a straight-up exchange in which they won't wind up losing any money, they're pretty cool.

I can exchange something I bought at Best Buy at Target?

That is a bit weird. But It might just be weird enough to work. Target is only about 28 miles away.

So long as there are no Best Buy identifiers on it. Any chance you still have the sticker that said it's widescreen? That would help solidify your case with Target or even with Best Buy. Either should take it back but Best Buy would put up more of a stink. Their return policy has become so incredibly strict that they don't even take back their own DVDs that are still sealed and labelled with Best Buy tags unless you still have a receipt proving it was purchased within the last 30 days. If it's outside of 30 days, no return whatsoever. So you better hope your parents shop for your Xmas gifts within a few days of Christmas or there's no chance of you being able to make an exchange at Best Buy if they buy you the wrong thing. Policies like this are the reason I'm buying less and less from Best Buy. Circuit City and Target have been getting an increasing amount of my business.

I've decided not to exchange it. More trouble than it's worth.
