The video game was just going to be included as a bonus feature because it is a part of Blade Runner and I thought it would be excellent to have it as a companion piece. Honestly I am moving on to other projects and not uploading anything Blade Runner. So people need to relax. Sadly I put a lot of work into making The Criterion look as good as the two disc Director's cut floating around from a respected member of these forums.. I did an excellent 8 disc set that looks nice on my shelf but it won't be on anyone elses. I will start a new thread when I finish my Robotech/Macross fan edit. FIN
Raul, since you don't have your PMs on I will ask you here: What do you have in mind for your Macross/Robotech fan edit? As an anime fan myself, I am pretty interested in this. Also, how far along are you on the project? Thanks!
I'm keeping the information on that under wraps for now.. all i can say is this is going to be the Robotech die hard macross fans would approve of. I have every possible incarnation of both and the fan edit is going to please.

Sadly, that would be impossible. Mine was an HD master. Laserdisc can't even touch that.
I just incorporated the voice over and scenes not in the directors cut from the laser disc and cleaned it up to match your director's cut. It really doesn't matter though because nobody cares.

Actually, that's definitely something I'd like to see. The only thing missing, IMHO, from digitalfreak's release was the voiceover.
As for the game, well, I wouldn't say it works on modern hardware. Yeah, the link provided by Moth3r has links to files to help get it running, but I've also read that it doesn't work under XP (how much more modern can you get than that?). It may very well work using the xpcompat program though. Of coure, reverse engineering the code to make it work natively would probably fall under preservation, but that's not what was planned.
Rikter I am a big fan of yours! Thanks for the support. Just wondering if I can snag your matrix dezionized cover with neo overlooking the city. been trying to obtain it for a while now. THANKS!
Originally posted by: Raul2106 Dude, I totally agree with that. I edited Blade Runner Criterion.. my 8 disc collection is something I did for myself. and figured I would upload it to everyone. but since everyone seems to be mickey mousing around about the legality of the damn video game. I am totally losing interest in uploading the project. The Criterion looks nice but whatever.. people sure don't make it easy for new people on this thread. I would give credit to all my sources anyway.I am now working on a Robotech/Macross fan edit disc.. so maybe I'll come back with that when I'm done.
Not to open up a can of worms but I have to agree with you. With respect I don't think it's made easy for new people. Also dispite the time and effort and is put into these fan edits, key word bieng fan, as well as the time and effort to collect some of the stuff needed, some people forget the whole point. Why am I going to make a fan editon of a film, including whatever hard to find extras, make a stink about it, and then not share it?? are make it hard? or compete with others doing the same thing?
That bieng said, we all love films, we're all here for the same reason. And a very big thanks goes out to those who put forth the love time and effort for ALL of these releases. keep up the great work.
