THE FIGHTING 501st IS A HUGE GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO DRESS UP IN IMPERIAL GARB MOSTLY STORM TROOPERS AND SUCH FOR ALL OF THE BIG STAR WARS CONVERSIONS. THEY HAVE EVEN BEEN FEATURED IN THE STAR WARS INSIDER.

Yes, but we don't show up for jury duty and/or work dressed as stormtroopers, do we? I think that sets us apart. I also think the convergence between the two film series' fans occurs with LOTR; Future Shop here in Canada is running a screening of TTT where those who show up in costume are entered to win a $500 gift card.
