I'm sure some of you run Star Wars fan sites, or even just personal home pages. You can do a lot to help us just by linking to us from your site. Word of mouth will be one of our greatest allies.

If you'd like an image to use when you link to us, check out this page. There are a couple images there now with more on the way.

If you have a request for a specific size, post it here or PM me and I'll see what I can do.

Hey all, I don't have any sites for star wars or anything like that. Simply because I don't have the time, BUT I want to use this opporunity to say Jay has done an incredibly good thing. When I heard that GL was not going to release the OT on dvd, my heart stopped, and I wanted to do something about it. One thing was to start a petition, but I am the best man you want for an internet site where a petition is going on. So to Jay: thank you very much!!!! I support you in every way I can. It is a great site, and most of all, its meaning is excellent! Keep up the good work, Jay.

Thanks to everyone for what you've done. It's great to see all of you here.

Brian, I notice that you've shrunk the image a bit to fit in with your page layout, which is fine. However, it becomes pretty tough to make out the text since it's already very small. The fonts are pixel-based and aren't really meant to be resized. I can put together a custom image size for you if you like. I didn't have time to do more than the two banners I currently have posted, but I'm happy to take requests as I work on additional banners.

Everyone, let me know what you're looking for (even suggestions on content are welcome), and I'll put some new banners together this week.

Just in case you didn't: I didn't just shrink the image. I actually wiped the text, shrunk the image to 125x90, then re-applied the text using the closest font I could find to the one you used. WHAT font did you actually use?

It's a fixed-pixel font called Mini 7. You can find it here.

Fonts like this are great for very small text sizes since they remain very legible, even at only 5 pixels high.

My offer still stands though. I'll be working on a bunch of new images this weekend, so a custom image that's designed specifically for your size needs is something I can build, and the results will look better.

(FYI - Mail to press@originaltrilogy.com and forum@originaltrilogy.com is being rejected....)

Given the fact that our site probably isn't the only one that would prefer a smaller footprint, I'll defer to you to create the alternate image(s). That way, it's exactly how you want it to look. (It is, after all, an advertisement for YOUR site, so you should have control over how it looks!)

Can you tell me what you mean when you say your e-mail is being rejected? Are you getting an error message? Is your e-mail getting bounced back to you?

Consider it done, as far as linking to your site. Although my official domain (jeditray.com) has been offline for a while thanks to a hosting guy that was just a plain idiot, I have a mirror site up at my free webspace through my ISP. It is here. Once I get my DNS garbage squared away, I will definitely put a link to your site. I don't get all the traffic in the world, but I have been around for quite some time. Anything to help! I'll also post to my long-time buddies at the Trade Federation to try and drum-up some support. Great work, man.

You should have inbound email to your jay@originaltrilogy.com address. I duplicated the error this morning from my Yahoo account for both press@originaltrilogy and forum@originaltrilogy. (4.4.1: Unable to establish SMTP connection).

If you receive the email to jay@originaltrilogy.com, send me a reply, and we can work on it/discuss offline so we don't take up bandwith in this thread...

3/16 Update: Yahoo doesn't seem to be able to connect and deliver mail to any of your email accounts. Jay@originaltrilogy.com and generalinfo@originaltrilogy.com both also returned a "unable to establish an SMTP connection. (#4.4.1)" error.

No, it's not much of a Star Wars site at all, but I've got a link to OriginalTrilogy on my homepage. My site gets a little readership here and there. Okay, so I'm suffering from delusions of grandeur... nobody gives a damn about my site. I can hope, can't I?

Hey Jay,

Listen I wanted to help you out with getting more people to sign the petition and I just thought of the perfect website that should have your link on it.

The website is dedicated to mostly the prequel trilogy but sometimes discusses things about the original. However I'm not sure whether the owner of the site would agree or not. See he claims to be friends with George Lucas and says that he does his preproduction work for some of his movies at Skywalker Ranch.

Anyway I guarentee this would be a great idea. I have visited this site for years now and can't tell you how successful it's gotten. It has to get a least over 1000 hits a day.

Hi,

My name is Paul and I have added my site to the list of those who support your petition and your website. My site is an all encompassing entertainment webboard that I hope you will check out. Although I had a STAR WARS image in my banner, I did not create a STAR WARS talk section at the board until today -- but not because I didn't want one. There is just so much competition for STAR WARS talk I was not sure how successful it would be.

However, I want to lend my support, so today I created a STAR WARS talk section that includes a link to this site and your petition. I do hope my site can be included in your list of those who support the petition.
