I'm not being serious, Jag. I'm just asking a question. There was a legitimate question in there. It's called sarcasm. You'll learn that I use it a lot, and I never use emoticons to tell you what I'm really thinking. Besides, you said you only wanted logical questions.

On the AWK comment, Jag does have an air about him, if only because he posts on every thread, but he hasn't made much commentary about Star Wars, so I think we're safe.

You know what the funniest part is? I'm not knowledgeable about Star Wars any more than any average movie-goer is.

And Sybeman, there's got to be some irony in this; I'm the same way about sarcasm. I use it so much I have to tell people when I'm not using it. So my apologies (not sarcasm).

And I've been posting on a lot of threads because the topics interest me, nothing more. Well--maybe raising my post count is subconsciously there too.

Don't worry about it, Jag. Apology accepted. I've pissed off more than a couple people on this board the same way. If only I could reaD my posts out loud, maybe then it would work.

I don't have anything against you posting to every thread, because you don't seem anything like AWK. And since you don't claim to be from Kentucky, well, you're good in my books.

Here's a valid question, then. What made you join these forums? I ask because the bulk of the people here are either big Star Wars fans or are preservationists or that.

Speaking of He Whose Name Shall Not Be Mentioned, I checked his old goodbye thread and found this old nugget of Stinky-Dinkins wisdom.

This title of this thread should be changed to "Retard Zoo."

You know how when you go to a regular zoo most animals are nowhere to be seen? Usually they're hidden behind bushes or sleeping in their caves.

We don't have this problem at the retard zoo.

Now all this special dish needs is a sprinkling of Shimraa and SLAM!

No. The REAL Stinky was someone else, but there were a couple of Stinky Dinkins socks, at least one of which was HWNSNBM.

I didn't post that quote to describe this thread or anything, by the way. I just thought it was funny.

And Sybeman, the reason I joined these forums is.....lol kinda funny.

So I was searching for that chick from That 70's Show (you know, for a school project). You know, the one with the red hair? Well the first good one I found led me here. I started reading the various posts and thought "gee, there's a lot of funny and sarcastic people here (lol), maybe I'll become one of them!"

Well, I had never joined a forum before and so I thought this one would do well for my first. Or maybe last......but yeah. That's pretty much the reason. Oh, and I didn't know it was Star Wars related until after I had joined...

So I'm just hangin' around the off-topic area because I'm pretty much useless when it comes to Star Wars (but I DO own the original trilogy on VHS and I HAVE watched it about 30 times, if that makes any difference).

EDIT: And I WOULD like to see it come out on DVD.

Wow, I am amazed that Jag doesn't recognize the term AWK, but he's already familiar with the Shimraa/HLF connection. I didn't think that had come up lately.

Well, actually I have seen AWK before but I can't remember what it stands for.

(yes this implies that I have put two and two together, ie. making his name into an acrynym and vice versa to understand previous discussions. and yes this also implies that I have an insanely awful memory because I have forgotten already.)

Did he have an Obi-Wan ID pic?

Well, that was an estimation. It just means that each new account he tried to force on the boards was immediately destroyed by Jay. The actual AWK name was only banned twice. After a few months of time-out after the first ban, he was allowed to come back. And then, a few months later, he was banned again.
