I have no idea as I never see shows like that.
If I was running shows like that I'd have them all in one unisex dorm or in individual rooms.
When I was doing my Foundation course we had unisex toilets which seemed a bit odd for about two minutes but it ceased to be an issue.
The gas mask and the welding goggles made habitual hand washing a bit of a challenge though.
I agree, it's silly to separate them. But if they are going to do it, putting the gay men with the straight men doesn't make much sense.
Though now that I think about it, putting the gay men with the gay men makes even less sense.
Everyone should get his or her own room!

The link wasn't working for me so I had to read around to get the gist of what was going on.
His rather wonky interpretation of Darwin doesn't endear me much to his scholarly credentials.
If he can't get his head around On The Origin Of Species By Means Of Natural Selection Or The Preservation Of Favoured Races In The Struggle For Life, I would take any conclusions he takes from a more historically coiled and linguistically challenging text like any version of the Christian Bible with a pinch of salt.
If those conclusions lead him to show physical signs of revulsion at the suggestion he may have a homosexual friend then I doubt if he would find approval from his saviour.
It is definitely not the way of the Master.
