Sad but true. It could just as well be Hasbro adding more action "playability" to the figure. At least it wasn't Hayden's head.

Sluggo, I changed my theory a little bit when I looked at the Vader action figure again, but Lucas could make my new theory happen pretty easily, also.

It could go either way. That's definitaly an Episode III leg there.

I think that Darth is related to the video game they're pushing. But I also think the Biggs deleted scenes figures is a good sign too.

I like the way they list the Boba figure as 'Animated Debut Boba Fett' as if they can't bring themselves to say 'Holiday Special Boba Fett'.

that battle damaged vader is from the next-gen video game "Force Unleashed" as are the female jedi, female imperial officer, "samurai" jedi (the one with a topnot & metal looking chest armor), black imperial guard (shadow guard), and the two new storm/spacetroopers that look rather mcquarrie-ish.

speaking of McQuarrie, they're doing a whole set of figures based on his preproduction artwork. The first will be a repaint of 2002's concept stormtrooper. But the'll also be doing Vader (with two different style heads), Boba Fett (with one mcq. & one johnston tyle head), Chewbacca, Luke, Han, etc. Images of the Boba Fett, Chewie, Vader, & stormtrooper can be found at various toy sites like rebelscum.com, jeditemplearchives.com, etc.

& Kotobukyuia (sp?) is making a statue based on the famous pre-production painting of Vader fighting Luke. Images can be found at starwars.com.

I love how Hasbro has made 10 figures of every single background character (how many frigging Hammerheads do you need?) and have to resort to concept figures. Very funny. Fans will pay for anything.

Although that Fett is kind've cool... /reaches for wallet

Perhaps the mega rare vidoe footage of the concept Boba will be shown on a new release.

For what it's worth, that image of Vader on the 2007 banner is the same one used for the '95 Faces "one last time" THX release of the OOT.
