"In a first-of-its-kind move, George Lucas has announced that Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox will offer free 'replacement DVDs' to anyone who mails in pre-Special Edition VHS and Laserdisc copies of Star Wars episodes IV, V, and VI by April 30th. From the press release: 'This unique opportunity will help fans experience the complete and correct vision of my epic story.'"

I remember a few years back TheForce.Net had a story about Lucas announcing pland for Episodes 7-9. It had a link to a CNN news story and everything. The article was looking good until about half way through, at which point it got completely ridiculous, and it clicked that it was April Fool's Day. I haven't fallen for an internet April Fool's prank since.

I remember when they tryed realesing the name for epiosde 3 as ana april fools day prank. The amount of rants that started.

I have such little faith in lucas grasp of storytelling anymore that when i read the front page starwars.com story yesterday about willow and star wars i almost believed it for a second.

I followed a link in someone's sig over at tf.n. This person is totally for the destruction of SS. So, since this person is a basher, I guess there's a great chance they are on these boards too. Sorry, can't remember his name right at the moment. Anyway, that shit was hilarious. That guy, SS, is a real piece of work. What a fucktard. I can say that on here, right?
