Seems perfect to me! Can’t wait to watch it
I could probably help out!
You absolute beauty! I’ll be in touch shortly. ❤️
NFBisms and I are now directly collaborating on this and he has the latest raw file. I can’t promise timings but it’s looking positive. I’m so excited to have NFB onboard, he’s been an absolute gent, and has exactly the skills I was missing.
One question for you all: As I’ve said just earlier, I’m now really happy with the flow of scenes through this version. It feels very balanced to me. (And it took absolutely AGES to get this way - this episode has 50 scene transitions and only about two of them are the original ones!) The one thing I can see people taking slight issue to is the question of who learns about the Aldhani heist in what order. As I currently have it, the ISB find out first, Mon Mothma becomes aware (without the rest of Coruscant knowing), then it hits the news on Ferrix, then a few days later it comes out on the Coruscant news.
I don’t personally have a problem with that - I figure it can be reasonably explained as (1) obviously the ISB would know nearly immediately, (2) Coruscant politicians would likely know before the rest of the planet, (3) Ferrix has a far less tight grip on its media than Coruscant (and an imperial presence potentially talking about the new laws), then (4) Coruscant news could well have been deliberately delayed until the Empire got on top of the messaging. I can see it as a potential point of concern for you guys, but it underpins a lot of my current ordering enough that I think the above justification should be enough to allow story flow to be the priority.
Anyone got a major issue with that?

Sounds very reasonable
Today, I rewatched two episodes of the series, and I like the pacing of your cut substantially better than what the 40-minute chunks of the original allow. I am looking forward to your final version of movie 3.
“Vader! Hologram, now!”
Great to hear! I feel similar when watching these- when the A plot is the main focus, and you know it’s going to get wrapped up in this unit of entertainment, the B plot is a welcome pacing break and more interesting.
I was gonna offer helping with the audio transitions but I’m so happy NFB is helping out! It’s cool that y’all are collaborating.
I also think your logic for the order of who finds out about the Aldhani heist makes sense.
That’s awesome, thanks RL. Spence has offered too. I’ll see how NFB gets on, but it’s ace to have a little bank of potential collaborators.
- I’ve completed the reordering for Movie 3. It’s far, far better paced now, and time passes consistently in all three plotlines, including around the time jumps, multiple scenes in a single day, and references to the timeline. I’m happy to call this scene ordering ‘final’, as it tells this story nicely - as nicely as the other three movies, at least. Everything gets its due the three plotlines are well balanced throughout.
I’m currently about half-way through the third movie. I binged the first two last night, and absolutely loved them. You’ve done a fantastic job, and the plot lines flow wonderfully. Andor really does work so well as movies.
The only wrinkle I’ve felt so far throughout the third movie is the timeline for Mon Mothma; when she’s talking to Luthen the night after the heist asking if it was him, they talk about a meeting with a “saviour to access your family funds” scheduled for that evening. This feels like she’s referencing the party scene where Tay Kolma is introduced. As it stands in Workprint 2, Cassian manages to go to Ferrix, spend the night, leave the next day, get to Niamos, establish a casual relationship (days/weeks?), get arrested and get sent to Narkina-5 before that meeting happens.
I know balancing the timeline against plot pacing is something you’ve been grappling with heavily, and it’s not an easy task. This is the only thing I’ve noticed so far that made me ask questions instead of being completely drawn in. Overall one could argue the meeting Mon was originally referencing fell through, which is why she called Tay and it’s taken some time to set up the meet? Or maybe a little trim during the morning scene to make it just mention the reschedule, without the “it’s tonight” line?
I’d just like to say again how much I’ve enjoyed watching these so far. The little character moments that typically get cut are so welcome to see in this less radical cut. I can’t wait to finish 3 and watch 4.
Wonderful feedback, Daiyus, thanks.
Good spot on the Mon meeting reference. Realistically there’s very little chance I can reorder the scenes there (the ordering does a lot of heavy lifting for the transitions and flow), but I’ll see how explicit that reference is and might make a light trim if I need to.
Speaking of the pacing of Andor getting off Ferrix and to Niamos, you’re right in that those events happen fairly quickly onscreen and do cover a lot of time. That’s how it was in the original (episode 7 covered a lot of in-world time), and I think I’ve improved it further since we have more of Syril moping at his window (among other things!) in this section to imply days passing, but do you reckon it lands OK this way?
I’m really glad you’re enjoying it, and look forward to releasing the final versions!
I definitely agree that the swift passing of time plays out much better now, with Syril at home with his mother, ISB adapting following the heist etc. It’s a much more believable passage of time and you can see things happening day by day. I think you’ve done an excellent job with it overall, and can completely understand why the scenes sit in the order they do. I think this may be one of the reasons I noticed the Luthen/Mon/Tay disconnect so prominently, so that in itself is a testament to how well it works.
Heyo, how’s movie 3 coming along?
“Vader! Hologram, now!”
Excellently, thanks! Thanks to NFB and RogueLeader, we’re close to a release of a higher quality than I could have put out originally.
1 & 2 are properly smooth now, only needing re-rendering, 3 is vastly improved and just needs some minor addition of score, and 4 is just being mulled over a little further. Full release soonish.
That’s good to hear
“Vader! Hologram, now!”
This sounds really cool, I’d love to check it out when fully released!
“I don’t believe it.”
“That is why you Yoda.”

Feel free to PM for requests now!
Final movie titles are ‘Convergence’, ‘Declaration’, ‘Prisoners’, and ‘Sacrifice’.
I’m super pleased with the quality of these final (v2.0) versions. NFBisms deserves a huge amount of credit here. He produced over 20 audio transitions, including some covering multiple scenes. He also contributed a major structural piece to movie 4, and an even larger piece of work throughout movie 3, reordering and then fully rescoring whole sections. The last 5% of polish has taken the most work, and I couldn’t have done this without him. His efforts were huge and can’t be understated - thanks so much!
It is obviously too early for feedback on the cut itself.
But I think there was a messup in the rendering process. The black bars are part of the video file, resulting in this on my ultrawide:

They are, but that’s as they were in the original files. On standard monitors they full screen naturally.
Had quite a few downloads so far - does anyone who’s watched the new versions have any feedback yet?
So far, I have only watched episode 1 with my dad. The only critique, that we have is the very slow second act, but that’s a weakness innate to the first 2 episodes of the series. Maybe you could push some of Cyrils scenes back a little? That would also support his anguish at how complacent everyone around him has become. However, I don’t remember the exact sequence of events, so that might cause some issues.
“Vader! Hologram, now!”
Have not gotten around to watch it yet, but will make sure to give feedback once I do!
Episode 3 flows much better now than the preceding workprint 👍
“Vader! Hologram, now!”
Huzzah! NFB deserves most of the credit there!
I uploaded something like this in December 😃
Interesting. What would you say are its strengths?
