The Halloween Extended Edition DVD (2001; Anchor Bay) claims to be 29.970 fps, but I'm not seeing any combing during playback.
Is it possible that it's really 23.976 fps and the DVD is setting some kind of flag?

Can it be corrected for the end result of the project? Does it need to be corrected? I understand framerates, but not flags and scripts and such.

Just got a text back from my brother who says he already gave Halloween II back to me. I have no idea where it is now. I'll check again tonight when I get home but I may have misplaced it.
Once I find it I'll report back on the Deleted scenes.

If it really is using a flag, then all we need to do is basically say: "Hey! I'm really 23.976 fps!".

I completely forgot to get back to this thread but I did end up finding my Halloween II bluray (in the car) and the deleted scenes are not in widescreen like I remembered. Sorry to get your hopes up guys. :(
