American Movie is now on blu-ray. Mark told me himself in an email that an HD remaster of Coven is in the works.

I think some noise can come back in and I’d be careful the colors aren’t too saturated. Overall looks fantastic, one of my favorite documentaries I didn’t even realize it wasn’t available in HD, it’s an important one to preserve!

Still working on finalizing everything on American Movie. Coven should be a lot easier since it’s in B&W. Also working on another HD upscale at the same time.

Can’t say I like the look of the Uprezzed version. There is actual detail being lost there. I can’t say there’s anything truly wrong with how the DVD source looks. Soft and noisy sure, but it looks real.

Working on a new 2K version of Both “American Movie” and “Coven”. Will be released as the raw MOV exports and a barebones bluray iso using TSMuxerGUI. The deleted scenes and trailer will also be included.
