Amadeus - Theatrical Cut Restoration 1080p (V3 Now Available) — Page 5

This is one of my top 5 favorite films of all time. I had the theatrical release on VHS, and received the Directors Cut blu ray as a gift, which I could not bear after the first viewing (and I've bought the flipper DVD). And, if they come out with the restored theatrical release blu ray I'll buy that too. But in the meantime, any way I could get a link?

THANK YOU jimbotron for all of your hard work!! You've done work worthy of the greatest fine art picture restorer!! :D

I am very late to the party on this one, but I would love to jump on board, although I'm more than happy to wait for version 2!

I must say the work of the guys (big thanks jimbotron) on this forum really does blow my mind. I have shamefully never seen this film, its been on my list of films to see for the last 5 or 6 years but I wanted to wait for a nice HD presentation, and I refused the Director's Cut Blu-ray as I wanted to hold out for the original oscar winning cut. It's brilliant to see that that is now a possibility!

Yeah, Best Picture winners really should be made available in the version that won Best Picture. (Even the 2.35:1 version of The Last Emperor is on Blu-ray in Japan.)

Wow! Alow me to congratulate you for not only restoring it concisely to the theatrical cut, but for also making it HD by hunting for Laserdisc and other movies that contain the exact logos. It would be flawless if you could make cover and dvd art to go with it. The directors cut just doesn't make the film go well. As Mozart said "You can't change perfection."

Send me a PM of it, I beg you please!

I've owned this film in every version going back to VHS-- every year or two I check to see if the original theatrical cut is available.  Thank you so much for this project!

Would stretch or handman be so kind as to PM me?

I too would like the restored version. This movie (the original version) changed my life. A little help would be much appreciated.

I've been exchanging PMs with a member who is trying to track down the original laserdisc for me and to extract the PCM mix, which I will then sync to the video.

I own the original LD release. Let me know if I can be of help.

Edit: I see it is the mix from the LD which you are waiting for... not the actual LD itself.

I've been frequently searching the internet for a HD version of the original and Oscar winning version of Amadeus. It seems like I finally succeeded by finding this forum- only I can't figure out how to actually access the film.

Can anyone help me? I would appreciate it very much :)

Thanks!

Just bought the old french DVD, and converted it to 23.976 fps. So now I don't have to stand the 4% PAL speedup pitch shift which is very noticeable.

Can't wait for your new mkv to paste the french track on it and enjoy the movie!

I can also sent it to you if you wish to  make a multilanguage version.

I watched this first version last night, and I was so happy to see the theatrical cut version in HD, where possible.  Actually, I don't think I have watched this movie since I saw the DC version some years ago and was extremely disappointed. You really did a great job! Looking forward to your second version.

If there is any way I could get a link to this project, I would really appreciate it. I haven't seen this film since I was in elementary school and I just realized my wife has NEVER seen it.  Can someone please assist me in righting this wrong?? :)
