What is the specific error you are getting?
What is the specific error you are getting?
Connection not possible (the same error as you want to download more then one part a day)
I don't know about a one part a day problem. With free (non-premium) RS, jdownloader has to wait 15 minutes between parts, but that should generally be the only limitation. Don't know what to tell you. Sorry.

How do i tell Jdownloader to wait 15 minutes for an new part then?
It does it automatically.
When you download as a free user on RS (forget jdownloader for a second), you have to wait 15 minutes between downloads. If you try to download another part before the 15 minutes are up, you get a message from RS saying you aren't a premium member and you have to wait x minutes until you can download the next part.
The advantage of using jdownloader is that you don't have to sit at your computer, waiting for the 15 minutes to end. jdownloader will download the first part, wait 15 minutes, download the second part, wait 15 minutes, and so on, all automatically.

THANX!!!
Thanx!!!!
The instructions on Fanedit did the trick, i'm a happy camper right now!!!!!!
Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap! Late again!
Edit:
Now posting to Usenet (newsgroups).
Alt.binaries.dvd, and alt.binaries.midnightmovies.
Nzb is in the nzb group, where it belongs.
The posting computer died. It came back to life after a few tries. It does that.
The posting will be interrupted... Starting tommorow, I'll have to shut it off during the heat of day. It might not chose to come back to life. No big, I have a backup antique.
Hmmm, .DS_STORE files. Mac OSX's answer to desktop.ini and thumbs.db.
I deleted them, in case someone's burning software gets mad.
One day I found... 10 years had got behind me. Next day was worse.
Download shows from Cable DVR (Updated! Yes, it needs a rewrite, but it's worth slogging through, anyway).
Info about the Blu-ray discs...
Wow, the Alien anthology bluray set with almost 5 hours of new extra features looks amazing! They went so far to include parody clips from Spaceballs and Family guy. It's interesting that the set features some of the stuff we compiled for Appendix series (Shock and awe documentary, Ride at the Speed of Fright) and a fan suggested project (Alien Isolated composer's original score).
Personally I'm most interested in Aliens deleted scenes (cocooned Burke?) and Main Title Explorations (titles still seem iconic to me from the first day I've seen them in 1986).
Hello, Im from Uruguay and have been alien fan since i was a small child.
Just discovered this project and being a huge fan of alien i want to know where i can find copies of the appendixes dvds.
1 thru 6 are available thru fanedit.info and preserv.co.cc. Send TB a PM to get the links for #7.
My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
Cheers Jonno, your a saint..

VERY doubtful.
2003 documentaries were only produced in SD. The new stuff should be HD though (hopefully the deleted/outtake clips that are being presented for the first time will be).
These 'Alien Appendix' compilations have been really great. Nice to see yet another one completed. :)
As far as the forthcoming Blu-ray compilation goes, it's looking like an even better package than the excellent 'Quadrilogy' compilation was, where extras are concerned! However, as a fan of the 'Theatrical' cut of ALIEN, rather than the 'Director's Cut', I'm really hacked off that it's likely to be presented in the same 'stylised' re-colouration that was done for the 'Director's Cut'!
The original 'Theatrical' version had a vibrant, natural colouration that was already perfect where the look of Ridley's classic visuals are concerned. Personally, I really dislike the murky, overly-dark 'grading' that Ridley did for his 'Director's Cut', when he messed about with things at that point. But annoyingly, the original 'Theatrical' version ended up with the same overly-dark 'grading'-revision on the 'Quadrilogy' set too, totally changing how it had previously looked!
Unfortunately, I have no doubt this re-colouration is going to be the DE FACTO 'look' for the forthcoming Blu-ray release too... Furthermore, Ridley also ended up doing the same thing to his BLADE RUNNER: FINAL CUT too...giving it a more 'stylised', overly-dark colour compared to it's original 'Theatrical' look. This also turned out for the worse, as far as I'm concerned, since the original 'Theatrical' version had a perfect-looking, vibrant, naturalistic colouration to it, compared to the latest version's altered hues.
I think the 're-mastered', darkened, 'stylised' colour given to these two movies have really spoiled the look of them now, when compared with how their originals looked. This seems to be an unfortunate 'trend' in 're-mastering', as I recall a certain popular franchise also ended up with some dubious colour-meddling for the worse... It's also happening with various other titles too, unfortunately...

Do you know this for a fact? The Quadrilogy DVD was branched (for economy of disc space) so the two versions had to be matched in terms of colour manipulation... this might not necessarily be so with the Blu-ray.
And hasn't there already been an HD transfer of Alien (on DVHS and - I believe - TV broadcasts) - what did that look like? (EDIT: Seems the previous HD release was only the director's cut)

The broadcast looked good for HDTV, and yes it was only the Director's Cut. There was a D-theatre release of Aliens (Special Edition), but I don't know about Alien.

Perhaps Jonno...but I'll be surprised if we see the original ALIEN colour again, now that Ridley has chosen to alter it in the first place. Although some may like it, his new color-timing is too dramatic a change from the movie's original colour-palette for my taste. While the 'Quadrilogy's improved print was great to see, the unnatural-looking colouration throughout ruined it for me. Some aspects were darkened, while others had a 'washed-out' insipid look to them, and just didn't look as good on the eyes overall I thought. Give me the vibrantly red blood and natural colours of the sets etc. from the original DVD, any day.
Just as a reminder of how things look now, here are a few comparison examples. The original DVD's colour is shown at the top, while the 'Quadrilogy's revisionist colour is underneath -
As far as the forthcoming Bluray anthology goes, I just hope they don't DNR the hell out of ALIENS like they've ended up doing to the latest PREDATOR release! But it's good to see that the 'Burke's cocoon' scene is included in the extras, and that they've gone to the effort of fixing the moments of poor audio on the extended ALIEN 3 cut. And interesting to see that Fincher's comments are uncensored this time round too. I'd just like to see ALIEN's original colour back, though.
And even though the mystery of the 'Space Jockey' is going to be diluted in future, at least we've got Ridley back for the Prequel(s). Let's hope he's still got it in him!
I totally agree with you about the colortiming, ImperialFighter. The colors in the old 20th anniversary DVD look so much better and natural than the DC version, which looks almost identical to the new Bladerunner colors, the typical ugly modern blue and green tint. Wasn't the latest Alien transfer also badly cropped in a few scenes? It also removed the original Fox fanfare and logo at the beginning, a small thing perhaps but still annoying.
Have there been any talk yet about what audio mixes that will be included in this new set? I really hope that they include both the 35mm and 70mm Dolby Stereo mixes.
We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.
Sincerely, Lynne Hale publicity@lucasfilm.com
There are also some good comparisons at DVD Beaver. I quite like the new color timing for Alien, but hated it for Bladerunner, but there you go. :-)
Funny, I feel the complete opposite when it comes to BLADE RUNNER and ALIEN... at least with BLADE RUNNER we got 4 versions of the movie to choose from. It would be interesting to see if the color timing was changed for the 1991 DC and the original theatrical release... the Final Cut is a given that things were going to be changed throughout, and personally I was very pleased with how it came out.
ALIEN on the other hand just came across like Ridley didn't give a sh*t and just slapped something out just to make some extra money. The thing is, I never really noticed the scenes above being that too far removed from the original color timing.. it was specifically:
(1) all of the shots with the Space Jockey had a washed-out blue tint
(2) when Ripley first enters the cargo room (when they are looking for Jonesy), it looks natural... yet when Brett enters the room, there is this godawful copper tint over EVERYTHING, where it may as well be "copper and white" as opposed to a color film.
(3) then, as soon as Brett enters the landing leg room, there is that damn "washed-out, blue tint" over everything, which shows up again when
(4) the Alien attacks Parker and Lambert. So essentially the 2 scenes where the Alien appears (other than the end) the details and colors of the Alien are washed-out and bluish.
On top of that, the hydraulic arm lowering the Nostromo model is still visible during the landing scene, and you still have the "disappearing coffee mug" when the computer starts up in the beginning... as far as I am concerned, Ridley Lucasfied ALIEN by doing such a half-assed "special edition" version.
