I just watch Predator 20 times a year
There’s a cream for that.
Also, I AM A COMPUTER. And [Insert partisan political slogan here]

Ahw Jeez, guys, come on… Gonna get roasted here on top of everything.
Well, anyways, I contacted GoFundMe, they responded saying that I should straight up scroll down the page and report it, so I did. Then an email came back saying they’ll look into.
Now, knowing my luck, what worries me is that this was in fact a legit campaign and somehow my report will get those people in trouble and their campaign dismantled. Man…
Contacted the site, will keep you guys posted.
But, man, the heck did I get myself into here. Finally decide to donate to a campaign and try and do something good and it turns out to be a potential scam, and the person in question turns out isn’t very nice himself (though, I’m not judging anybody here).
Should’ve just minded my own business (unless it’s a legit campaign).
Things like this happen though. I helped someone I knew out through his gofundme campaign a few years ago after he was posting that he was about to be evicted because the unemployment benefits had been cut and were no longer covering all of his rent and he had gone into arrears. Sent him £20. Imagine how pissed i was when i saw a few weeks later that he was posting pictures of his latest haul of vintage star wars figures. Total scam.
It’s preying on the goodwill of Predator fans. I’m amazed this doesn’t happen in Star Wars circles.
And I probably watch Frink’s edits that many times in a year. 😉
Where were you in '77?

That’s insane. How does he live with himself? Every time you look at those toys, you’re reminded you’re a fraud.
Well, good news is - GoFundMe just contacted me again and said they’ll issue a refund within 2-5 business days. But I only really wanna know if it’s a fake campaign. Cause if it’s fake, I’ll contact manlymovie.net as well, so that they’re not accidentally promoting a scam.
Also, Adywan, your link helped me provide them with more information (one that states Sonny was in an accident in 2006; makes all this very suspicious). So thanks for that and I apologize again for bringing this to everyone’s attention in the first place.

That implies that it is a scam because that FAQ says they’ll refund the money if they verify the campaign is a scam…
But of course then they would refund everyone’s money and take down the campaign. Weird.

You should probably get that checked out.
1 year = 8760 hours
Predator is 107 minutes long
107 minutes x 20 = 2140 minutes
2140 minutes = 35.66667 hours
8760 hours - 35.66667 hours = 8724.33333 hours
tl;dr: watching Predator twenty times a year ain’t so bad when you factor in the length of a year + the length of the movie itself.
You’re right, I might try it.
Honestly - some of you are insensitive assholes… Sonny Landham (Predator 1987, Action Jackson 1988) tragically loses his legs and all you care about is “debunking” it. Welcome to the fucking internet, I guess. It makes me a little ashamed to be a part of this “community”. I wish Sonny Landham would fucking kick your asses (but sadly he no longer can).
Anyway Haraldo23 I think what you did was commendable. By the way, my family and I are very close with Wallace Shawn (Princess Bride 1987, Clueless 1995)and the entire Shawn family - recently he lost all of his teeth and his winter jacket (Lands’ End 199.95) in a tragic Snowmobile accident. I’m in the process of setting up a GoFundMe on behalf of his family as we speak. We hope to raise enough to cover the expensive dental work and go some ways towards replacing the coat. Anyway pls send me 15 dollars directly and no I don’t answer emails (too busy sorry).

Good point about the jacket. I think what we’re all forgetting here is that if Sonny lost his legs he must have lost his jeans (Levi’s 59.50) and boots (Timberland 189.99) as well. And socks too now that I think of it (Hanes 13.99 for 6 pack which he will have to replace completely now that he has lost a pair). A true tragedy.

That’s actually how everyone at the scene realized he’d survive. They knew in their hearts Sonny would never be caught dead in Levi’s.
Leave it up to a thread dedicated to ex-three-legged Cherokee/Seminole beefcake to lure Stinky-Dinkins back out of the closet.
Got my money back. And they said they’re looking into it:
“My team is currently working with the Campaign Organizer to determine the legitimacy of this campaign. In the meantime, I have issued a refund for your $15 donation…”
Gotta say, I’m impressed by GoFundMe’s client service. Very efficient, very quick, clear and friendly. I’m now kind of confident in them figuring out weather this was a scam or not.
That’s good to hear!
